1 Clemente 20

1Os céus movem-se pela Sua direção e obedecem-Lhe em paz.

1The heavens are moved by His direction and obey Him in peace.

2O dia e a noite cumprem o curso que por Ele lhes foi designado, sem impedimento um ao outro.

2Day and night accomplish the course assigned to them by Him, without hindrance one to another.

3O sol e a lua e as estrelas dançantes, conforme a Sua ordenação, circulam em harmonia dentro dos limites que lhes foram designados, sem qualquer desvio.

3The sun and the moon and the dancing stars according to His appointment circle in harmony within the bounds assigned to them, without any swerving aside.

4A terra, dando fruto em cumprimento da Sua vontade nas suas estações próprias, produz o alimento que sustenta abundantemente homens e bestas e todos os seres vivos que nela existem, sem fazer dissensão, nem alterar coisa alguma do que Ele decretou.

4The earth, bearing fruit in fulfillment of His will at her proper seasons, putteth forth the food that supplieth abundantly both men and beasts and all living things which are thereupon, making no dissension, neither altering anything which He hath decreed.

5Além disso, as insondáveis profundezas dos abismos e os inexprimíveis estatutos das regiões inferiores são contidos pelas mesmas ordenanças.

5Moreover, the inscrutable depths of the abysses and the unutterable statutes of the nether regions are constrained by the same ordinances.

6A bacia do mar sem limites, reunida pela Sua obra nos seus reservatórios, não ultrapassa as barreiras com que está cercada; mas, assim como Ele a ordenou, assim ela faz.

6The basin of the boundless sea, gathered together by His workmanship into its reservoirs, passeth not the barriers wherewith it is surrounded; but even as He ordered it, so it doeth.

7Pois Ele disse: Até aqui virás, e as tuas ondas se quebrarão dentro de ti.

7For He said, So far shalt thou come, and thy waves shall be broken within thee.

8O oceano, que é intransponível para os homens, e os mundos além dele, são dirigidos pelas mesmas ordenanças do Mestre.

8The ocean which is impassable for men, and the worlds beyond it, are directed by the same ordinances of the Master.

9As estações da primavera e do verão e do outono e do inverno cedem lugar em sucessão umas às outras em paz.

9The seasons of spring and summer and autumn and winter give way in succession one to another in peace.

10Os ventos, nas suas várias regiões, na sua estação própria, cumprem o seu ministério sem perturbação; e as fontes perenes, criadas para o deleite e a saúde, sem falha dão os seus seios que sustentam a vida dos homens. Sim, até os menores dos seres vivos se juntam em concórdia e paz.

10The winds in their several quarters at their proper season fulfill their ministry without disturbance; and the ever flowing fountains, created for enjoyment and health, without fail give their breasts which sustain the life for men. Yea, the smallest of living things come together in concord and peace.

11Todas estas coisas o grande Criador e Mestre do universo ordenou que estivessem em paz e concórdia, fazendo bem a todas as coisas, mas muito mais que às demais a nós, que nos refugiamos nas Suas compassivas misericórdias por nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, a quem seja a glória e a majestade para todo o sempre. Amém.

11All these things the great Creator and Master of the universe ordered to be in peace and concord, doing good unto all things, but far beyond the rest unto us who have taken refuge in His compassionate mercies through our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the majesty for ever and ever. Amen.
