1Aquele que tem amor em Cristo cumpra os mandamentos de Cristo.

1Let him that hath love in Christ fulfill the commandments of Christ.

2Quem pode declarar o vínculo do amor de Deus?

2Who can declare the bond of the love of God?

3Quem é suficiente para dizer a majestade da sua beleza?

3Who is sufficient to tell the majesty of its beauty?

4A altura a que o amor eleva é inexprimível.

4The height, whereunto love exalteth, is unspeakable.

5O amor une-nos a Deus; o amor cobre uma multidão de pecados; o amor suporta todas as coisas, é longânime em todas as coisas. Nada há de grosseiro, nada de arrogante no amor. O amor não tem divisões, o amor não faz sedições, o amor faz todas as coisas em concórdia. No amor foram aperfeiçoados todos os eleitos de Deus; sem amor nada é agradável a Deus:

5Love joineth us unto God; love covereth a multitude of sins; love endureth all things, is long-suffering in all things. There is nothing coarse, nothing arrogant in love. Love hath no divisions, love maketh no seditions, love doeth all things in concord. In love were all the elect of God made perfect; without love nothing is well pleasing to God:

6no amor o Mestre nos tomou para Si; pelo amor que teve por nós, Jesus Cristo, nosso Senhor, deu o Seu sangue por nós, pela vontade de Deus, e a Sua carne pela nossa carne e a Sua vida pelas nossas vidas.

6in love the Master took us unto Himself; for the love which He had toward us, Jesus Christ our Lord hath given His blood for us by the will of God, and His flesh for our flesh and His life for our lives.
