1Juro-vos que no céu os anjos se lembram de vós para o bem diante da glória do Grande; e os vossos nomes estão escritos diante da glória do Grande.

1I swear unto you, that in heaven the angels remember you for good before the glory of the Great One: and your names are written before the glory of the Great One.

2Tende esperança; porque antes fostes envergonhados pelo mal e pela aflição; mas agora brilhareis como as luzes do céu, brilhareis e sereis vistos, e os portais do céu vos serão abertos.

2Be hopeful; for aforetime ye were put to shame through ill and affliction; but now ye shall shine as the lights of heaven, ye shall shine and ye shall be seen, and the portals of heaven shall be opened to you.

3E no vosso clamor, clamai por juízo, e ele vos aparecerá; porque toda a vossa tribulação será cobrada dos governantes e de todos os que ajudaram os que vos saquearam.

3And in your cry, cry for judgement, and it shall appear to you; for all your tribulation shall be visited on the rulers, and on all who helped those who plundered you.

4Tende esperança, e não lanceis fora a vossa esperança; porque tereis grande alegria, como os anjos do céu.

4Be hopeful, and cast not away your hope; for ye shall have great joy as the angels of heaven.

5Que sereis obrigados a fazer? Não tereis de vos esconder no dia do grande juízo, e não sereis achados como pecadores, e o juízo eterno estará longe de vós por todas as gerações do mundo.

5What shall ye be obliged to do? Ye shall not have to hide on the day of the great judgement and ye shall not be found as sinners, and the eternal judgement shall be far from you for all the generations of the world.

6E agora não temais, vós justos, quando virdes os pecadores se fortalecendo e prosperando nos seus caminhos; não sejais companheiros deles, mas mantende-vos longe da sua violência; porque vos tornareis companheiros dos exércitos do céu.

6And now fear not, ye righteous, when ye see the sinners growing strong and prospering in their ways: be not companions with them, but keep afar from their violence; for ye shall become companions of the hosts of heaven.

7E, embora vós, pecadores, digais: Todos os nossos pecados não serão investigados nem escritos, contudo escreverão todos os vossos pecados cada dia.

7And, although ye sinners say: “All our sins shall not be searched out and be written down,” nevertheless they shall write down all your sins every day.

8E agora vos mostro que a luz e as trevas, o dia e a noite, veem todos os vossos pecados.

8And now I show unto you that light and darkness, day and night, see all your sins.

9Não sejais ímpios nos vossos corações, e não mintais, e não altereis as palavras da retidão, nem acuseis de mentira as palavras do Santo e Grande, nem façais caso dos vossos ídolos; porque toda a vossa mentira e toda a vossa impiedade não resultam em justiça, mas em grande pecado.

9Be not godless in your hearts, and lie not and alter not the words of uprightness, nor charge with lying the words of the Holy Great One, nor take account of your idols; for all your lying and all your godlessness issue not in righteousness but in great sin.

10E agora conheço este mistério: que os pecadores alterarão e perverterão as palavras da justiça de muitos modos, e falarão palavras más, e mentirão, e praticarão grandes enganos, e escreverão livros a respeito das suas palavras.

10And now I know this mystery, that sinners will alter and pervert the words of righteousness in many ways, and will speak wicked words, and lie, and practise great deceits, and write books concerning their words.

11Mas, quando escreverem fielmente todas as minhas palavras nas suas línguas, e não mudarem nem diminuírem coisa alguma das minhas palavras, mas as escreverem todas fielmente, tudo o que primeiro testifiquei a respeito delas,

11But when they write down truthfully all my words in their languages, and do not change or minish ought from my words but write them all down truthfully—all that I first testified concerning them.

12então, conheço outro mistério: que livros serão dados aos justos e aos sábios, para se tornarem causa de alegria, e de retidão, e de muita sabedoria.

12Then, I know another mystery, that books will be given to the righteous and the wise to become a cause of joy and uprightness and much wisdom.

13E a eles serão dados os livros, e crerão neles e se alegrarão por eles; e então todos os justos que deles aprenderam todos os caminhos da retidão serão recompensados.

13And to them shall the books be given, and they shall believe in them and rejoice over them, and then shall all the righteous who have learnt therefrom all the paths of uprightness be recompensed.’
