1E me tomaram e me levaram a um lugar em que os que ali estavam eram como fogo flamejante e, quando queriam, apareciam como homens.

1And they took and brought me to a place in which those who were there were like flaming fire, and, when they wished, they appeared as men.

2E me levaram ao lugar das trevas, e a um monte cujo cume chegava até o céu.

2And they brought me to the place of darkness, and to a mountain the point of whose summit reached to heaven.

3E vi os lugares dos luzeiros e os tesouros das estrelas e do trovão, e nas profundezas extremas, onde havia um arco de fogo, e flechas, e a sua aljava, e uma espada de fogo, e todos os relâmpagos.

3And I saw the places of the luminaries and the treasuries of the stars and of the thunder and in the uttermost depths, where were a fiery bow and arrows and their quiver, and a fiery sword and all the lightnings.

4E me levaram às águas vivas, e ao fogo do ocidente, que recebe todo o pôr do sol.

4And they took me to the living waters, and to the fire of the west, which receives every setting of the sun.

5E cheguei a um rio de fogo, em que o fogo corre como água e se lança no grande mar, para o ocidente.

5And I came to a river of fire in which the fire flows like water and discharges itself into the great sea towards the west.

6Vi os grandes rios, e cheguei ao grande rio e às grandes trevas, e fui ao lugar onde nenhuma carne anda.

6I saw the great rivers and came to the great river and to the great darkness, and went to the place where no flesh walks.

7Vi os montes das trevas do inverno e o lugar de onde correm todas as águas do abismo.

7I saw the mountains of the darkness of winter and the place whence all the waters of the deep flow.

8Vi as fozes de todos os rios da terra e a boca do abismo.

8I saw the mouths of all the rivers of the earth and the mouth of the deep.
