1Observai tudo o que acontece no céu,

1Observe ye everything that takes place in the heaven,

2como não mudam as suas órbitas, e os luzeiros que estão no céu, como todos nascem e se põem em ordem, cada um no seu tempo, e não transgridem a ordem que lhes foi designada. Olhai para a terra, e atentai para as coisas que nela acontecem, do princípio ao fim,

2how they do not change their orbits, and the luminaries which are in the heaven, how they all rise and set in order each in its season, and transgress not against their appointed order. Behold ye the earth, and give heed to the things which take place upon it from first to last,

3quão firmes são, como nenhuma das coisas da terra muda, mas todas as obras de Deus vos aparecem. Olhai o verão e o inverno, como toda a terra se enche de água, e as nuvens, o orvalho e a chuva repousam sobre ela.

3how steadfast they are, how none of the things upon earth change, but all the works of God appear to you. Behold the summer and the winter, how the whole earth is filled with water, and clouds and dew and rain lie upon it.
