1 Enoque 53

1Ali os meus olhos viram um vale profundo, com bocas abertas; e todos os que habitam na terra, e no mar, e nas ilhas lhe trarão dádivas, e presentes, e sinais de homenagem; mas aquele vale profundo não se encherá.

1There mine eyes saw a deep valley with open mouths, and all who dwell on the earth and sea and islands shall bring to him gifts and presents and tokens of homage, but that deep valley shall not become full.

2E as suas mãos cometem obras iníquas, e os pecadores devoram todos os que iniquamente oprimem; contudo, os pecadores serão destruídos diante da face do Senhor dos Espíritos, e serão banidos da face da sua terra, e perecerão para todo o sempre.

2And their hands commit lawless deeds, And the sinners devour all whom they lawlessly oppress: Yet the sinners shall be destroyed before the face of the Lord of Spirits, And they shall be banished from off the face of His earth, And they shall perish for ever and ever.

3Porque vi todos os anjos do castigo que ali permaneciam e preparavam todos os instrumentos de Satanás.

3For I saw all the angels of punishment abiding there and preparing all the instruments of Satan.

4E perguntei ao anjo da paz que ia comigo: Para quem preparam estes instrumentos?

4And I asked the angel of peace who went with me: ‘For whom are they preparing these instruments?’

5E ele me disse: Preparam-nos para os reis e os poderosos desta terra, para que por meio deles sejam destruídos.

5And he said unto me: ‘They prepare these for the kings and the mighty of this earth, that they may thereby be destroyed.

6E depois disto o Justo e Escolhido fará aparecer a casa da sua congregação; dali em diante não serão mais impedidos, no nome do Senhor dos Espíritos.

6And after this the Righteous and Elect One shall cause the house of his congregation to appear: henceforth they shall be no more hindered in the name of the Lord of Spirits.

7E estes montes não permanecerão como a terra diante da sua justiça, mas os outeiros serão como uma fonte de água; e os justos terão descanso da opressão dos pecadores.

7And these mountains shall not stand as the earth before his righteousness, But the hills shall be as a fountain of water, And the righteous shall have rest from the oppression of sinners.’
