1 Enoque 65

1E naqueles dias Noé viu a terra, que se tinha afundado e que a sua destruição estava próxima.

1And in those days Noah saw the earth that it had sunk down and its destruction was nigh.

2E levantou-se dali e foi aos confins da terra, e clamou em alta voz a seu avô Enoque; e Noé disse três vezes, com voz amargurada: Ouve-me, ouve-me, ouve-me.

2And he arose from thence and went to the ends of the earth, and cried aloud to his grandfather Enoch: and Noah said three times with an embittered voice: ‘Hear me, hear me, hear me.’

3E eu lhe disse: Dize-me o que é que está acontecendo sobre a terra, que a terra está em tão má condição e abalada, para que porventura eu não pereça com ela.

3And I said unto him: ‘Tell me what it is that is falling out on the earth that the earth is in such evil plight and shaken, lest perchance I shall perish with it?’

4E logo houve uma grande comoção sobre a terra, e ouviu-se uma voz do céu, e caí sobre o meu rosto.

4And thereupon there was a great commotion on the earth, and a voice was heard from heaven, and I fell on my face.

5E Enoque, meu avô, veio e se pôs junto de mim, e me disse: Por que clamaste a mim com clamor amargo e com choro?

5And Enoch my grandfather came and stood by me, and said unto me: ‘Why hast thou cried unto me with a bitter cry and weeping?

6E saiu um mandamento da presença do Senhor a respeito dos que habitam na terra, de que a sua ruína está consumada, porque aprenderam todos os segredos dos anjos, e toda a violência dos satãs, e todos os seus poderes, os mais secretos, e todo o poder dos que praticam a feitiçaria, e o poder da bruxaria, e o poder dos que fazem imagens de fundição para toda a terra;

6And a command has gone forth from the presence of the Lord concerning those who dwell on the earth that their ruin is accomplished because they have learnt all the secrets of the angels, and all the violence of the Satans, and all their powers—the most secret ones—and all the power of those who practise sorcery, and the power of witchcraft, and the power of those who make molten images for the whole earth:

7e como a prata é produzida do pó da terra, e como o metal mole se origina na terra.

7And how silver is produced from the dust of the earth, and how soft metal originates in the earth.

8Porque o chumbo e o estanho não são produzidos da terra como o primeiro; é uma fonte que os produz, e um anjo está nela, e aquele anjo é preeminente.

8For lead and tin are not produced from the earth like the first: it is a fountain that produces them, and an angel stands therein, and that angel is pre-eminent.’

9E depois disso meu avô Enoque me tomou pela mão e me levantou, e me disse: Vai, porque perguntei ao Senhor dos Espíritos a respeito desta comoção sobre a terra.

9And after that my grandfather Enoch took hold of me by my hand and raised me up, and said unto me: ‘Go, for I have asked the Lord of Spirits as touching this commotion on the earth.

10E ele me disse: Por causa da sua injustiça, o seu juízo foi determinado e não será retido por mim para sempre. Por causa das feitiçarias que buscaram e aprenderam, a terra e os que nela habitam serão destruídos.

10And He said unto me: “Because of their unrighteousness their judgement has been determined upon and shall not be withheld by Me for ever. Because of the sorceries which they have searched out and learnt, the earth and those who dwell upon it shall be destroyed.”

11E estes não têm lugar de arrependimento para sempre, porque lhes mostraram o que estava escondido, e são os condenados; mas, quanto a ti, meu filho, o Senhor dos Espíritos sabe que és puro e inocente desta culpa a respeito dos segredos.

11And these—they have no place of repentance for ever, because they have shown them what was hidden, and they are the damned: but as for thee, my son, the Lord of Spirits knows that thou art pure, and guiltless of this reproach concerning the secrets.

12E ele destinou o teu nome a estar entre os santos, e te preservará entre os que habitam na terra, e destinou a tua justa descendência tanto para a realeza como para grandes honras; e da tua descendência procederá uma fonte de justos e santos sem número, para sempre.

12And He has destined thy name to be among the holy, And will preserve thee amongst those who dwell on the earth, And has destined thy righteous seed both for kingship and for great honours, And from thy seed shall proceed a fountain of the righteous and holy without number for ever.’
