1E os guias dos chefes dos milhares, que estão postos sobre toda a criação e sobre todas as estrelas, têm também que ver com os quatro dias intercalares, sendo inseparáveis do seu ofício, segundo o cômputo do ano; e estes prestam serviço nos quatro dias que não são contados no cômputo do ano.

1And the leaders of the heads of the thousands, who are placed over the whole creation and over all the stars, have also to do with the four intercalary days, being inseparable from their office, according to the reckoning of the year, and these render service on the four days which are not reckoned in the reckoning of the year.

2E por causa deles os homens erram nisto, porque aqueles luzeiros verdadeiramente prestam serviço nas estações do mundo, um no primeiro portal, um no terceiro portal do céu, um no quarto portal e um no sexto portal; e a exatidão do ano se cumpre pelas suas trezentas e sessenta e quatro estações distintas.

2And owing to them men go wrong therein, for those luminaries truly render service on the world-stations, one in the first portal, one in the third portal of the heaven, one in the fourth portal, and one in the sixth portal, and the exactness of the year is accomplished through its separate three hundred and sixty-four stations.

3Porque os sinais, e os tempos, e os anos, e os dias me mostrou o anjo Uriel, a quem o Senhor da glória pôs para sempre sobre todos os luzeiros do céu, no céu e no mundo, para que governem sobre a face do céu e sejam vistos sobre a terra, e sejam guias para o dia e para a noite, isto é, o sol, a lua e as estrelas, e todas as criaturas ministrantes que fazem a sua revolução em todos os carros do céu.

3For the signs and the times and the years and the days the angel Uriel showed to me, whom the Lord of glory hath set for ever over all the luminaries of the heaven, in the heaven and in the world, that they should rule on the face of the heaven and be seen on the earth, and be leaders for the day and the night, that is, the sun, moon, and stars, and all the ministering creatures which make their revolution in all the chariots of the heaven.

4Do mesmo modo Uriel me mostrou doze portas abertas na circunferência do carro do sol no céu, pelas quais irrompem os raios do sol; e delas se difunde o calor sobre a terra, quando são abertas nos seus tempos designados.

4In like manner twelve doors Uriel showed me, open in the circumference of the sun’s chariot in the heaven, through which the rays of the sun break forth: and from them is warmth diffused over the earth, when they are opened at their appointed seasons.

5E para os ventos e o espírito do orvalho, quando são abertas, ficando abertas nos céus, nos confins.

5And for the winds and the spirit of the dew when they are opened, standing open in the heavens at the ends.

6Quanto aos doze portais no céu, nos confins da terra, pelos quais saem o sol, a lua e as estrelas, e todas as obras do céu, no oriente e no ocidente,

6As for the twelve portals in the heaven, at the ends of the earth, out of which go forth the sun, moon, and stars, and all the works of heaven in the east and in the west,

7há muitas janelas abertas à esquerda e à direita deles, e uma janela, no seu tempo designado, produz calor, correspondendo como estas correspondem àquelas portas pelas quais as estrelas saem, conforme ele lhes ordenou, e nas quais se põem, correspondendo ao seu número.

7There are many windows open to the left and right of them, and one window at its appointed season produces warmth, corresponding as these do to those doors from which the stars come forth according as He has commanded them, and wherein they set corresponding to their number.

8E vi carros no céu, correndo no mundo, acima daqueles portais nos quais giram as estrelas que nunca se põem.

8And I saw chariots in the heaven, running in the world, above those portals in which revolve the stars that never set.

9E um é maior que todos os outros, e é aquele que faz o seu curso por todo o mundo.

9And one is larger than all the rest, and it is that that makes its course through the entire world.
