1Semjâzâ taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, Armârôs the resolving of enchantments, Barâqîjâl taught astrology, Kôkabêl the constellations, Êzêqêêl the knowledge of the clouds, Araqiêl the signs of the earth, Shamsiêl the signs of the sun, and Sariêl the course of the moon.

2E os gigantes consumiram todos os bens dos homens, até que os homens já não os puderam sustentar.

2And the giants consumed all the acquisitions of men, until men could no longer sustain them.

3Então começaram a devorar a carne dos homens, e os homens se tornaram poucos sobre a terra; e os que restaram clamaram ao céu por causa deste mal, dizendo: Chegue a nossa lembrança diante do Altíssimo.

3Then they began to devour the flesh of men, and men became few upon the earth; and those who remained cried to heaven because of this evil, saying: ‘Let a remembrance of us be brought before the Most High.’
