1 Enoque 81

1E ele me disse: Observa, Enoque, estas tábuas celestes, e lê o que nelas está escrito, e nota cada fato particular.

1And he said unto me: ‘Observe, Enoch, these heavenly tablets, And read what is written thereon, And mark every individual fact.’

2E observei as tábuas celestes, e li tudo o que nelas estava escrito, e entendi tudo, e li o livro de todas as obras da humanidade e de todos os filhos da carne que hão de estar sobre a terra, até as gerações mais remotas.

2And I observed the heavenly tablets, and read everything which was written thereon and understood everything, and read the book of all the deeds of mankind, and of all the children of flesh that shall be upon the earth to the remotest generations.

3E logo bendisse o grande Senhor, o Rei da glória, para sempre, porque fez todas as obras do mundo; e exaltei o Senhor por causa da sua paciência, e o bendisse por causa dos filhos dos homens.

3And forthwith I blessed the great Lord the King of glory for ever, in that He has made all the works of the world, And I extolled the Lord because of His patience, And blessed Him because of the children of men.

4E depois disso eu disse: Bem-aventurado o homem que morre em justiça e bondade, a respeito do qual não há livro de injustiça escrito, e contra o qual não se achará dia de juízo.

4And after that I said: ‘Blessed is the man who dies in righteousness and goodness, Concerning whom there is no book of unrighteousness written, And against whom no day of judgement shall be found.’

5E aqueles sete santos me trouxeram e me puseram na terra, diante da porta da minha casa, e me disseram: Anuncia tudo a teu filho Matusalém, e mostra a todos os teus filhos que nenhuma carne é justa aos olhos do Senhor, porque ele é o seu Criador.

5And those seven holy ones brought me and placed me on the earth before the door of my house, and said to me: ‘Declare everything to thy son Methuselah, and show to all thy children that no flesh is righteous in the sight of the Lord, for He is their Creator.

6Um ano te deixaremos com teu filho, até que dês os teus últimos mandamentos, para que ensines os teus filhos e o registres para eles, e testifiques a todos os teus filhos; e no segundo ano te tomarão do meio deles.

6One year we will leave thee with thy son, till thou givest thy last commands, that thou mayst teach thy children and record it for them, and testify to all thy children; and in the second year they shall take thee from their midst.

7Seja forte o teu coração, porque os bons anunciarão a justiça aos bons; o justo com o justo se alegrará, e oferecerão parabéns uns aos outros.

7Let thy heart be strong, For the good shall announce righteousness to the good; The righteous with the righteous shall rejoice, And shall offer congratulation to one another.

8Mas os pecadores morrerão com os pecadores, e o apóstata descerá com o apóstata.

8But the sinners shall die with the sinners, And the apostate go down with the apostate.

9E os que praticam a justiça morrerão por causa das obras dos homens, e serão levados por causa dos feitos dos ímpios.

9And those who practise righteousness shall die on account of the deeds of men, And be taken away on account of the doings of the godless.’

10E naqueles dias deixaram de falar comigo, e vim ao meu povo, bendizendo o Senhor do mundo.

10And in those days they ceased to speak to me, and I came to my people, blessing the Lord of the world.
