1 Enoque 91

1E agora, meu filho Matusalém, chama-me todos os teus irmãos, e ajunta junto a mim todos os filhos de tua mãe; porque a palavra me chama, e o espírito está derramado sobre mim, para que vos mostre tudo o que vos há de suceder para sempre.

1‘And now, my son Methuselah, call to me all thy brothers And gather together to me all the sons of thy mother; For the word calls me, And the spirit is poured out upon me, That I may show you everything That shall befall you for ever.’

2E logo Matusalém foi e chamou todos os seus irmãos e reuniu os seus parentes.

2And thereupon Methuselah went and summoned to him all his brothers and assembled his relatives.

3E ele falou a todos os filhos da justiça e disse: Ouvi, filhos de Enoque, todas as palavras de vosso pai, e escutai bem a voz da minha boca; porque vos exorto e vos digo, amados: Amai a retidão e andai nela.

3And he spake unto all the children of righteousness and said: ‘Hear, ye sons of Enoch, all the words of your father, And hearken aright to the voice of my mouth; For I exhort you and say unto you, beloved: Love uprightness and walk therein.

4E não vos aproximeis da retidão com coração dobre, e não vos associeis com os de coração dobre, mas andai em justiça, meus filhos. E ela vos guiará por bons caminhos, e a justiça será a vossa companheira.

4And draw not nigh to uprightness with a double heart, And associate not with those of a double heart, But walk in righteousness, my sons. And it shall guide you on good paths, And righteousness shall be your companion.

5Porque sei que a violência há de aumentar na terra, e um grande castigo se executará na terra, e toda injustiça chegará ao fim; sim, será cortada desde as suas raízes, e toda a sua estrutura será destruída.

5For I know that violence must increase on the earth, And a great chastisement be executed on the earth, And all unrighteousness come to an end: Yea, it shall be cut off from its roots, And its whole structure be destroyed.

6E a injustiça de novo se consumará na terra, e todas as obras da injustiça, e da violência, e da transgressão prevalecerão em grau dobrado.

6And unrighteousness shall again be consummated on the earth, And all the deeds of unrighteousness and of violence And transgression shall prevail in a twofold degree.

7E, quando o pecado, e a injustiça, e a blasfêmia, e a violência em toda sorte de obras aumentarem, e a apostasia, e a transgressão, e a impureza aumentarem, um grande castigo virá do céu sobre todos estes, e o santo Senhor sairá com ira e castigo para executar juízo na terra.

7And when sin and unrighteousness and blasphemy And violence in all kinds of deeds increase, And apostasy and transgression and uncleanness increase, A great chastisement shall come from heaven upon all these, And the holy Lord will come forth with wrath and chastisement To execute judgement on earth.

8Naqueles dias a violência será cortada desde as suas raízes, e as raízes da injustiça juntamente com o engano, e serão destruídas de debaixo do céu.

8In those days violence shall be cut off from its roots, And the roots of unrighteousness together with deceit, And they shall be destroyed from under heaven.

9E todos os ídolos dos gentios serão abandonados, e os templos queimados com fogo, e os removerão de toda a terra; e serão lançados no juízo do fogo, e perecerão em ira e em juízo penoso para sempre.

9And all the idols of the heathen shall be abandoned, And the temples burned with fire, And they shall remove them from the whole earth, And they shall be cast into the judgement of fire, And shall perish in wrath and in grievous judgement for ever.

10E os justos se levantarão do seu sono, e a sabedoria se levantará e lhes será dada.

10And the righteous shall arise from their sleep, And wisdom shall arise and be given unto them.

11E agora vos digo, meus filhos, e vos mostro os caminhos da justiça e os caminhos da violência. Sim, vo-los mostrarei de novo, para que saibais o que há de acontecer.

11And now I tell you, my sons, and show you The paths of righteousness and the paths of violence. Yea, I will show them to you again That ye may know what will come to pass.

12E agora, escutai-me, meus filhos, e andai nos caminhos da justiça, e não andeis nos caminhos da violência; porque todos os que andam nos caminhos da injustiça perecerão para sempre.

12And now, hearken unto me, my sons, And walk in the paths of righteousness, And walk not in the paths of violence; For all who walk in the paths of unrighteousness shall perish for ever.’

13O livro escrito por Enoque. Enoque, de fato, escreveu esta completa doutrina da sabedoria, que é louvada por todos os homens e juíza de toda a terra, para todos os meus filhos que habitarão na terra, e para as gerações futuras que guardarão a retidão e a paz.

13The book written by Enoch—Enoch indeed wrote this complete doctrine of wisdom, which is praised of all men and a judge of all the earth for all my children who shall dwell on the earth. And for the future generations who shall observe uprightness and peace.

14Não se perturbe o vosso espírito por causa dos tempos; porque o Santo e Grande designou dias para todas as coisas.

14Let not your spirit be troubled on account of the times; For the Holy and Great One has appointed days for all things.

15E o justo se levantará do sono, se levantará e andará nos caminhos da justiça, e todo o seu caminho e o seu proceder serão em eterna bondade e graça.

15And the righteous one shall arise from sleep, Shall arise and walk in the paths of righteousness, And all his path and conversation shall be in eternal goodness and grace.

16Ele será benigno para com o justo e lhe dará retidão eterna, e lhe dará poder, de modo que será dotado de bondade e justiça, e andará em luz eterna.

16He will be gracious to the righteous and give him eternal uprightness, And He will give him power so that he shall be endowed with goodness and righteousness, And he shall walk in eternal light.

17E o pecado perecerá nas trevas para sempre, e não será mais visto desde aquele dia para sempre.

17And sin shall perish in darkness for ever, And shall no more be seen from that day for evermore.

18E depois disso Enoque deu e começou a contar dos livros.

18And after that Enoch both gave and began to recount from the books.

19E Enoque disse: A respeito dos filhos da justiça, e a respeito dos escolhidos do mundo, e a respeito da planta da retidão, falarei estas coisas; sim, eu, Enoque, vo-las anunciarei, meus filhos, segundo o que me apareceu na visão celeste, e o que conheci pela palavra dos santos anjos, e aprendi das tábuas celestes.

19And Enoch said: ‘Concerning the children of righteousness and concerning the elect of the world, And concerning the plant of uprightness, I will speak these things, Yea, I Enoch will declare them unto you, my sons: According to that which appeared to me in the heavenly vision, And which I have known through the word of the holy angels, And have learnt from the heavenly tablets.’
