1E agora vos digo, meus filhos: amai a justiça e andai nela; porque os caminhos da justiça são dignos de aceitação, mas os caminhos da injustiça serão de repente destruídos e desaparecerão.

1And now I say unto you, my sons, love righteousness and walk therein; For the paths of righteousness are worthy of acceptation, But the paths of unrighteousness shall suddenly be destroyed and vanish.

2E a certos homens de uma geração serão revelados os caminhos da violência e da morte, e eles se manterão longe deles, e não os seguirão.

2And to certain men of a generation shall the paths of violence and of death be revealed, And they shall hold themselves afar from them, And shall not follow them.

3E agora vos digo, a vós, justos: Não andeis nos caminhos da maldade, nem nos caminhos da morte, e não vos aproximeis deles, para que não sejais destruídos.

3And now I say unto you the righteous: Walk not in the paths of wickedness, nor in the paths of death, And draw not nigh to them, lest ye be destroyed.

4Mas buscai e escolhei para vós a justiça e uma vida escolhida, e andai nos caminhos da paz, e vivereis e prosperareis.

4But seek and choose for yourselves righteousness and an elect life, And walk in the paths of peace, And ye shall live and prosper.

5E guardai firmemente as minhas palavras nos pensamentos dos vossos corações, e não permitais que sejam apagadas dos vossos corações; porque sei que os pecadores tentarão os homens a maltratar a sabedoria, de modo que não se ache lugar para ela, e nenhuma sorte de tentação diminua.

5And hold fast my words in the thoughts of your hearts, And suffer them not to be effaced from your hearts; For I know that sinners will tempt men to evilly-entreat wisdom, So that no place may be found for her, And no manner of temptation may minish.

6Ai dos que edificam a injustiça e a opressão, e põem o engano como fundamento; porque de repente serão derrubados, e não terão paz.

6Woe to those who build unrighteousness and oppression And lay deceit as a foundation; For they shall be suddenly overthrown, And they shall have no peace.

7Ai dos que edificam as suas casas com o pecado; porque desde todos os seus fundamentos serão derrubados, e pela espada cairão. E os que adquirem ouro e prata no juízo de repente perecerão.

7Woe to those who build their houses with sin; For from all their foundations shall they be overthrown, And by the sword shall they fall. And those who acquire gold and silver in judgement suddenly shall perish.

8Ai de vós, ricos, porque confiastes nas vossas riquezas, e das vossas riquezas vos apartareis, porque não vos lembrastes do Altíssimo nos dias das vossas riquezas.

8Woe to you, ye rich, for ye have trusted in your riches, And from your riches shall ye depart, Because ye have not remembered the Most High in the days of your riches.

9Cometestes blasfêmia e injustiça, e vos tornastes prontos para o dia da matança, e o dia das trevas, e o dia do grande juízo.

9Ye have committed blasphemy and unrighteousness, And have become ready for the day of slaughter, And the day of darkness and the day of the great judgement.

10Assim vos falo e vos declaro: Aquele que vos criou vos derrubará, e para a vossa queda não haverá compaixão, e o vosso Criador se alegrará com a vossa destruição.

10Thus I speak and declare unto you: He who hath created you will overthrow you, And for your fall there shall be no compassion, And your Creator will rejoice at your destruction.

11E os vossos justos, naqueles dias, serão um opróbrio para os pecadores e para os ímpios.

11And your righteous ones in those days shall be A reproach to the sinners and the godless.
