1 João 2

1Meus filhinhos, vos escrevo estas coisas para que não pequeis; mas se alguém pecar, temos um advogado com o Pai: Jesus Cristo, o justo.

1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2E ele é o sacrifício para perdão dos nossos pecados; e não somente dos nossos, mas também dos de todo o mundo.

2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

3E nisto sabemos que o conhecemos, se guardamos os seus mandamentos.

3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

4Aquele que diz: “Eu o conheço”, mas não guarda os seus mandamentos, é mentiroso, e nele não está a verdade.

4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5Mas quem guarda a sua palavra, nele verdadeiramente o amor de Deus tem se aperfeiçoado; nisso sabemos que estamos nele.

5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

6Aquele que diz que está nele também deve andar como ele andou.

6He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

7Irmãos, não vos escrevo um mandamento novo, mas sim o mandamento antigo, que tivestes desde o princípio. Este mandamento antigo é a palavra que ouvistes desde o princípio.

7Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

8Mas também vos escrevo um mandamento novo, que é verdadeiro nele e em vós; pois as trevas passaram, e a verdadeira luz já ilumina.

8Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

9Aquele que diz que está na luz, e odeia seu irmão, até agora está nas trevas.

9He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

10Aquele que ama o seu irmão está na luz, e nele não há motivo algum de tropeço.

10He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

11Mas aquele que odeia seu irmão está nas trevas, anda nas trevas, e não sabe para onde vai, pois as trevas lhe cegaram os olhos.

11But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

12Eu vos escrevo, filhinhos, porque pelo nome dele os vossos pecados são perdoados.

12I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

13Eu vos escrevo, pais, porque conheceis aquele que é desde o princípio. Eu vos escrevo, jovens, porque vencestes o maligno. Eu vos escrevo, filhinhos, porque conheceis o Pai.

13I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

14Eu vos escrevi, pais, porque conheceis aquele que é desde o princípio. Eu vos escrevi, jovens, porque sois fortes, a palavra de Deus está em vós, e vencestes o maligno.

14I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

15Não ameis o mundo, nem as coisas que há no mundo. Se alguém ama o mundo, o amor do Pai não está nele.

15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16Pois tudo o que há no mundo, a cobiça da carne, a cobiça dos olhos, e a ostentação da vida, não é do Pai, mas do mundo.

16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17O mundo passa, e também a sua cobiça; mas aquele que faz a vontade de Deus permanece para sempre.

17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

18Filhinhos, é a última hora. E como ouvistes que o anticristo vem, já agora muitos anticristos chegaram. Por isso sabemos que é a última hora.

18Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

19Eles saíram de nós, mas não eram dos nossos, pois se fossem dos nossos, continuariam conosco; mas o que aconteceu foi para tornar claro que todos eles não eram dos nossos.

19They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

20Vós, porém, tendes a unção do Santo, e conheceis todas as coisas.

20But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

21Eu vos escrevi, não porque não conheceis a verdade, mas sim, porque a conheceis, e porque nenhuma mentira vem da verdade.

21I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

22Quem é o mentiroso, senão aquele que nega que Jesus é o Cristo? Esse é o anticristo, que nega o Pai e o Filho.

22Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23Quem nega o Filho também não tem o Pai; aquele que confessa o filho também tem o Pai.

23Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24Portanto o que ouvistes desde o princípio permaneça em vós. Se o que ouvistes desde o princípio permanecer em vós, também permanecereis no Filho e no Pai.

24Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25E esta é a promessa que ele nos prometeu: a vida eterna.

25And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

26Estas coisas vos escrevi acerca dos que vos tentam vos enganar.

26These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27E a unção que recebeste dele continua em vós, e não tendes necessidade de que alguém vos ensine; mas, como a mesma unção vos ensina tudo, e é verdadeira, e não mentira, e como ela vos ensinou, assim nele permanecereis.

27But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

28E agora, filhinhos, permanecei nele; a fim de que, quando ele se manifestar, tenhamos confiança, e não sejamos envergonhados diante dele na sua vinda.

28And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

29Se sabeis que ele é justo, sabeis que todo aquele que pratica a justiça é nascido dele.

29If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
