2 Clemente 9

1E nenhum de vós diga que esta carne não é julgada nem ressuscita.

1And let not any one of you say that this flesh is not judged neither riseth again.

2Compreendei: em que fostes salvos? Em que recuperastes a vista, senão nesta carne?

2Understand ye. In what were ye saved? In what did ye recover your sight? if ye were not in this flesh.

3Devemos, portanto, guardar a carne como templo de Deus;

3We ought therefore to guard the flesh as a temple of God:

4pois do mesmo modo como fostes chamados na carne, vireis também na carne.

4for in like manner as ye were called in the flesh, ye shall come also in the flesh.

5Se Cristo, o Senhor que nos salvou, sendo primeiro espírito, Se fez carne e assim nos chamou, do mesmo modo também nós receberemos a nossa recompensa nesta carne.

5If Christ the Lord who saved us, being first spirit, then became flesh, and so called us, in like manner also shall we in this flesh receive our reward.

6Amemo-nos, pois, uns aos outros, para que todos cheguemos ao reino de Deus.

6Let us therefore love one another, that we all may come unto the kingdom of God.

7Enquanto temos tempo para sermos curados, entreguemo-nos nas mãos de Deus, o Médico, dando-Lhe uma recompensa.

7While we have time to be healed, let us place ourselves in the hands of God the physician, giving Him a recompense.

8Que recompensa? O arrependimento de coração sincero.

8What recompense? Repentance from a sincere heart.

9Pois Ele tudo discerne de antemão e conhece o que há no nosso coração.

9For He discerneth all things beforehand and knoweth what is in our heart.

10Tributemos-Lhe, portanto, louvor eterno, não somente com os nossos lábios, mas também de coração, para que Ele nos acolha como filhos.

10Let us therefore give unto Him eternal praise, not from our lips only, but also from our heart, that He may receive us as sons.

11Pois o Senhor também disse: Estes são Meus irmãos, que fazem a vontade de Meu Pai.

11For the Lord also said, These are my brethren, which do the will of My Father.
