2 Enoque 20

1E aqueles dois homens me levantaram dali ao sétimo céu, e vi ali uma grandíssima luz e tropas de fogo de grandes arcanjos, forças incorpóreas, e dominações, ordens e governos, Querubins e serafins, tronos e multiolhados, nove regimentos, as estações Ioanitas de luz, e fiquei com medo e comecei a tremer de grande terror, e aqueles homens me tomaram e me levaram atrás deles e me disseram:

1And those two men lifted me up thence on to the seventh heaven, and I saw there a very great light, and fiery troops of great archangels, incorporeal forces, and dominions, orders and governments, Cherubim and seraphim, thrones and many-eyed ones, nine regiments, the Ioanit stations of light, and I became afraid, and began to tremble with great terror, and those men took me, and led me after them, and said to me:

2Tem coragem, Enoque, não temas, e mostraram-me o Senhor de longe, sentado no seu altíssimo trono. Pois que há no décimo céu, visto que o Senhor habita ali?

2Have courage, Enoch, do not fear, and showed me the Lord from afar, sitting on His very high throne. For what is there on the tenth heaven, since the Lord dwells there?

3No décimo céu está Deus, em língua hebraica chama-se Aravate.

4E todas as tropas celestes vinham e ficavam nos dez degraus conforme a sua ordem e prostravam-se diante do Senhor, e de novo iam aos seus lugares em alegria e felicidade, cantando cânticos na luz ilimitada com vozes pequenas e ternas, servindo-o gloriosamente.

4And all the heavenly troops would come and stand on the ten steps according to their rank, and would bow down to the Lord, and would again go to their places in joy and felicity, singing songs in the boundless light with small and tender voices, gloriously serving him.
