1Adão tem vida na terra, e criei um jardim no Éden, no oriente, para que ele observasse o testamento e guardasse o mandamento.
1Adam has life on earth, and I created a garden in Eden in the east, that he should observe the testament and keep the command.
2Abri-lhe os céus, para que visse os anjos cantando o canto da vitória, e a luz sem trevas.
2I made the heavens open to him, that he should see the angels singing the song of victory, and the gloomless light.
3E ele estava continuamente no paraíso, e o diabo compreendeu que eu queria criar outro mundo, porque Adão era senhor na terra, para governá-la e dominá-la.
3And he was continuously in paradise, and the devil understood that I wanted to create another world, because Adam was lord on earth, to rule and control it.
4O diabo é o espírito mau dos lugares inferiores; como fugitivo fez Sotona dos céus, pois o seu nome era Satanail (Satã), e assim tornou-se diferente dos anjos, (mas a sua natureza) não mudou (a sua) inteligência quanto ao entendimento das coisas justas e pecaminosas.
4The devil is the evil spirit of the lower places, as a fugitive he made Sotona from the heavens as his name was Satanail (Satan), thus he became different from the angels, (but his nature) did not change (his) intelligence as far as (his) understanding of righteous and sinful (things).
5E compreendeu a sua condenação e o pecado que pecara antes; por isso concebeu um pensamento contra Adão; sob tal forma entrou e seduziu Eva, mas não tocou em Adão.
5And he understood his condemnation and the sin which he had sinned before, therefore he conceived thought against Adam, in such form he entered and seduced Eva (Eve), but did not touch Adam.
6Mas amaldiçoei a ignorância; quanto ao que eu abençoara antes, isso não amaldiçoei; não amaldiçoei o homem, nem a terra, nem as outras criaturas, mas o fruto mau do homem e as suas obras.
6But I cursed ignorance, but what I had blessed previously, those I did not curse, I cursed not man, nor the earth, nor other creatures, but man’s evil fruit, and his works.
