1Para que o sol percorra os sete círculos celestes, que são a designação de cento e oitenta e dois tronos, para que se ponha num dia curto, e de novo cento e oitenta e dois, para que se ponha num dia grande, e ele tem dois tronos nos quais repousa, girando de cá para lá acima dos tronos dos meses; desde o décimo sétimo dia do mês de Tsivan desce até o mês de Thevan, e desde o décimo sétimo de Thevan sobe.

1That the sun go along the seven heavenly circles, which are the appointment of one hundred and eighty-two thrones, that it go down on a short day, and again one hundred and eighty-two, that it go down on a big day, and he has two thrones on which he rests, revolving hither and thither above the thrones of the months, from the seventeenth day of the month Tsivan it goes down to the month Thevan, from the seventeenth of Thevan it goes up.

2E assim vai perto da terra, então a terra se alegra e faz crescer os seus frutos, e quando se afasta, então a terra se entristece, e as árvores e todos os frutos não têm floração.

5Assim vos dou a conhecer, meus filhos, e distribui os livros aos vossos filhos, em todas as vossas gerações, e entre as nações que tiverem o sentido de temer a Deus; que os recebam, e que cheguem a amá-los mais do que qualquer alimento ou doçura terrena, e os leiam e se apliquem a eles.

5Thus I make known to you, my children, and distribute the books to your children, into all your generations, and amongst the nations who shall have the sense to fear God, let them receive them, and may they come to love them more than any food or earthly sweets, and read them and apply themselves to them.

6E os que não compreendem o Senhor, os que não temem a Deus, os que não aceitam, mas rejeitam, os que não recebem os (livros), a estes aguarda um juízo terrível.

6And those who understand not the Lord, who fear not God, who accept not, but reject, who do not receive the (books), a terrible judgment awaits these.

7Bem-aventurado o homem que carregar o seu jugo e o arrastar consigo, pois será libertado no dia do grande juízo.

7Blessed is the man who shall bear their yoke and shall drag them along, for he shall be released on the day of the great judgment.
