1E agora, meus filhos, guardai os vossos corações de toda injustiça, que o Senhor odeia. Assim como um homem pede algo para a sua própria alma a Deus, assim faça a toda alma viva, porque conheço todas as coisas, como no grande tempo por vir há muita herança preparada para os homens, boa para os bons e má para os maus, sem número, muita.

1And now, my children, keep your hearts from every injustice, which the Lord hates. Just as a man asks something for his own soul from God, so let him do to every living soul, because I know all things, how in the great time to come there is much inheritance prepared for men, good for the good, and bad for the bad, without number many.

2Bem-aventurados os que entram nas boas moradas, pois nas moradas más não há paz nem retorno delas.

2Blessed are those who enter the good houses, for in the bad houses there is no peace nor return from them.

3Ouvi, meus filhos, pequenos e grandes! Quando o homem põe um bom pensamento no seu coração, traz presentes dos seus trabalhos diante da face do Senhor, e as suas mãos não os fizeram, então o Senhor desviará o seu rosto do trabalho da sua mão, e (esse) homem não poderá achar o trabalho das suas mãos.

3Hear, my children, small and great! When man puts a good thought in his heart, brings gifts from his labours before the Lord’s face and his hands made them not, then the Lord will turn away his face from the labour of his hand, and (that) man cannot find the labour of his hands.

4E se as suas mãos o fizeram, mas o seu coração murmura, e o seu coração não cessa de murmurar incessantemente, ele não tem nenhuma vantagem.

4And if his hands made it, but his heart murmur, and his heart cease not making murmur incessantly, he has not any advantage.
