2 Tessalonicenses 2

1Ora irmãos, nós vos rogamos quanto à vinda de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, e à nossa reunião com ele,

1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2Que vós não vos abaleis facilmente em vosso entendimento, e não vos perturbeis, nem por espírito, nem por palavra, nem por carta como que escrita por nós, como se o dia de Cristo já estivesse perto.

2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3Ninguém vos engane em maneira nenhuma; porque não virá esse dia sem que primeiro venha a apostasia, e se manifeste o homem do pecado, o filho da perdição.

3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4O qual se opõe e se levanta sobre tudo o que se chama Deus, ou sobre tudo que é adorado; por isso ele se sentará no templo de Deus, como se fosse Deus, fazendo-se parecer Deus.

4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

5Não vos lembrais, que enquanto ainda estava convosco, eu vos dizia estas coisas?

5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6E agora sabeis o que o detém, para que a seu próprio tempo seja manifestado.

6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7Porque o mistério da injustiça já opera; só há aquele que agora o detém, até que seja tirado do meio.

7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8E então será manifestado aquele injusto, ao qual o Senhor destruirá, pelo sopro de sua boca, e o aniquilará pelo aparecimento de sua vinda;

8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9Aquele injusto cuja vinda é conforme o agir de Satanás, com todo poder, e sinais, e milagres falsos.

9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10E com todo engano de injustiça nos que perecem; porque não receberam o amor da verdade para se salvarem.

10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11E por isso Deus lhes enviará a ação do erro, para que creiam na mentira.

11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12Para que sejam condenados todos os que não creram na verdade, mas tiveram prazer na injustiça.

12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

13Mas sempre devemos dar graças a Deus por vós, irmãos, que sois amados pelo Senhor, pois Deus vos escolheu desde o princípio para a salvação, em santificação do Espírito, e fé na verdade;

13But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

14Para a qual ele vos chamou por meio do nosso Evangelho, para a obtenção da glória de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.

14Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15Portanto, irmãos, ficai firmes, e retende as tradições que vos foram ensinadas, seja por palavra, seja por carta nossa.

15Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

16E ele mesmo, o nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, e nosso Deus e Pai, que nos amou e em graça nos deu uma eterna consolação e boa esperança;

16Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

17Ele console vossos corações, e vos fortaleça em toda boa palavra e obra.

17Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
