Apocalipse de Abraão 13

1Fiz tudo conforme a ordem do anjo e entreguei aos anjos que tinham vindo a nós os animais divididos, mas o anjo tomou as aves.

1And I did everything according to the commandment of the angel, and gave the angels, who had come to us, the divided animals, but the angel took the birds.

2E esperei pelo sacrifício da tarde.

2And I waited for the evening sacrifice.

3Então uma ave impura voou sobre os cadáveres, e eu a afastei.

3And there flew an unclean bird down upon the carcasses, and I drove it away.

4A ave impura falou comigo e disse: "Que fazes, Abraão, nas santas Alturas, onde nenhum homem come nem bebe, e sobre as quais não há alimento (algum) de homem, mas estas consomem tudo com fogo e (te) queimarão?

4And the unclean bird spake to me, and said: "What doest thou, Abraham, upon the holy Heights, where no man eateth or drinketh, neither is there upon them (any) food of man, but these consume everything with fire, and (will) burn thee up.

5Abandona o homem que está contigo e foge; pois, se subires às Alturas, elas darão cabo de ti."

5Forsake the man, who is with thee, and flee; for if thou ascendest to the Heights they will make an end of thee.

6E aconteceu que, quando vi a ave falar, disse ao anjo: "Que é isto, meu senhor?" E ele disse: "Isto é a impiedade, isto é Azazel."

6And it came to pass, when I saw the bird speak, I said to the angel: "What is this, my lord?" And he said: "This is ungodliness, this is Azazel."

7E ele lhe disse: "Vergonha sobre ti, Azazel!

7And he said to it: "Disgrace upon thee, Azazel!

8Pois a sorte de Abraão está no céu, mas a tua está na terra.

8For Abraham's lot is in heaven, but thine upon the earth.

9Porque escolheste e amaste esta como morada de tua impureza, o Senhor eterno e poderoso te fez habitante da terra; por teu intermédio vem todo espírito maligno de mentira, e, por teu intermédio, a ira e as provações para as gerações dos homens ímpios; pois Deus, o Eterno e Poderoso, não permitiu que os corpos dos justos estivessem em tua mão, para que, assim, fossem asseguradas a vida dos justos e a destruição dos impuros.

9Because thou hast chosen and loved this for the dwelling-(place) of thine uncleanness, therefore the eternal mighty Lord made thee a dweller upon the earth and through thee every evil spirit of lies, and through thee wrath and trials for the generations of ungodly men; for God, the Eternal, Mighty One, hath not permitted that the bodies of the righteous should be in thy hand, in order that thereby the life of the righteous and the destruction of the unclean may be assured.

10Ouve, amigo, afasta-te de mim com vergonha.

10Hear, friend, begone with shame from me.

11Pois não te foi concedido fazer o papel de tentador em relação a todos os justos.

11For it hath not been given to thee to play the tempter in regard to all the righteous.

12Afasta-te deste homem!

12Depart from this man!

13Não podes desviá-lo, porque ele é inimigo teu e daqueles que te seguem e amam o que desejas.

13Thou canst not lead him astray, because he is an enemy to thee, and of those who follow thee and love what thou wiliest.

14Pois eis que a veste que outrora era tua no céu foi reservada a ele, e a mortalidade que era dele foi transferida a ti."

14For, behold, the vesture which in heaven was formerly thine hath been set aside for him, and the mortality which was his hath been transferred to thee."
