Apocalipse de Abraão 15

1E aconteceu que, quando o sol se pôs, eis que apareceu uma fumaça como a de uma fornalha.

1And it came to pass when the sun went down, and lo! a smoke as of a furnace.

2E os anjos que tinham as porções do sacrifício subiram do alto da fornalha fumegante.

2And the angels who had the portions of the sacrifice ascended from the top of the smoking furnace.

3O Anjo tomou-me pela mão direita e colocou-me sobre a asa direita do pombo, enquanto ele próprio se pôs sobre a asa esquerda da rola; essas (aves) não tinham sido abatidas nem divididas.

3And the Angel took me with the right hand and set me on the right wing of the pigeon, and set himself on the left wing of the turtle dove, which (birds) had neither been slaughtered nor divided.

4E levou-me às fronteiras do fogo flamejante [e subimos, como que impelidos por muitos ventos, ao céu que estava fixado sobre a superfície. E vi no ar], na altura à qual subimos, uma luz intensa, impossível de descrever; e eis que nessa luz havia um fogo que ardia ferozmente para pessoas, muitas pessoas de aparência masculina, todas mudando (constantemente) de aspecto e forma, correndo, transformando-se, adorando e clamando com um som de palavras que eu não conhecia.

4And he bore me to the borders of the flaming fire [and we ascended as with many winds to the heaven which was fixed upon the surface. And I saw on the air] on the height, to which we ascended a strong light, which it was impossible to describe, and lo! in this light a fiercely burning fire for people, many people of male appearance, all (constantly) changing in aspect and form, running and being transformed, and worshipping and crying with a sound of words which I knew not.
