Apocalipse de Abraão 20

1E o Eterno Poderoso me disse: "Abraão, Abraão!" E eu disse: "Aqui estou."

1And the Eternal Mighty One said to me: " Abraham, Abraham! " And I said: " Here am I."

2[E Ele disse:] "Considera, do alto, as estrelas que estão abaixo de ti, conta-as [para mim] e dá-me a conhecer [a mim] seu número."

2[And He said:] " Consider from above the stars which are beneath thee, and number them [for me], and make known [to me] their number."

3E eu disse: "Como poderia? Pois sou apenas um homem [de pó e cinzas]."

3And I said: " When can I? For I am but a man [of dust and ashes]."

4E Ele me disse: "Como o número das estrelas e seu poder, (assim) farei de tua descendência uma nação e um povo, separado para mim em minha herança com Azazel."

4And he said to me: " As the number of the stars and their power, (so will) I make thy seed a nation and a people, set apart for me in my heritage with Azazel."

5E eu disse: "Ó Eterno Poderoso! Permite que Teu servo fale diante de Ti, e não se acenda Tua ira contra Teu escolhido!

5And I said: " O Eternal, Mighty One! Let thy servant speak before Thee, and let not Thine anger kindle against Thy chosen one!

6Eis que, antes de me levares às alturas, Azazel falou contra mim.

6Lo, before Thou leddest me up Azazel inveighed against me.

7Como, então, se ele agora não está diante de Ti, Te associaste a ele?"

7How, then, while he is not now before Thee, hast Thou constituted Thyself with him? "
