Apocalipse de Abraão 9

1Então uma voz veio a mim, falando duas vezes: "Abraão, Abraão!" E eu disse: "Aqui estou!" E Ele disse: "Eis que sou Eu; não temas, pois existo antes dos mundos e sou o Deus Poderoso que criou a luz do mundo.

1Then a voice came to me speaking twice: "Abraham, Abraham!" And I said: "Here am I!" And He said: "Behold, it is I; fear not, for I am before the worlds, and a mighty God who hath created the light of the world.

2Sou escudo sobre ti e teu auxílio.

2I am a shield over thee, and I am thy helper.

3Vai, toma para mim uma novilha de três anos, uma cabra de três anos, um carneiro de três anos, uma rola e um pombo, e traz-me um sacrifício puro.

3Go, take me a young heifer of three years old, and a she-goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove and a pigeon, and bring me a pure sacrifice.

4E, nesse sacrifício, porei diante de ti as eras (vindouras) e te darei a conhecer o que está reservado; verás grandes coisas que (até agora) não viste, porque amaste buscar-me, e eu te chamei de meu Amigo.

4And in this sacrifice I will lay before thee the ages (to come), and make known to thee what is reserved, and thou shalt see great things which thou hast not seen (hitherto); because thou hast loved to search me out, and I have named thee my Friend.

5Mas abstém-te, por quarenta dias, de toda forma de alimento que venha do fogo, de beber vinho e de ungir-te com óleo; depois, oferece-me o sacrifício que te ordenei, no lugar que te mostrarei, sobre um monte alto. Ali te mostrarei as eras que foram criadas e estabelecidas, feitas e renovadas por minha Palavra, e te darei a conhecer o que nelas sucederá aos que praticaram o mal e a justiça na geração dos homens.

5But abstain from every form of food that proceedeth out of the fire, and from the drinking of wine, and from anointing (thyself) with oil, forty days,"and then set forth for me the sacrifice which I have commanded thee, in the place which I will shew thee, on a high mountain, and there I will shew thee the ages which have been created and established, made and renewed, by my Word, and I will make known to thee what shall come to pass in them on those who have done evil and (practised) righteousness in the generation of men.
