Apocalipse de Moisés 16

1E falou o diabo à serpente, dizendo: Levanta-te, vem a mim, e eu te direi uma palavra pela qual poderás ter proveito. E ela se levantou e veio a ele. E o diabo lhe disse:

1And the devil spake to the serpent saying, Rise up, come to me and I will tell thee a word whereby thou mayst have profit." And he arose and came to him. And the devil saith to him:

2Ouço dizer que és mais prudente do que todas as feras, e vim para te aconselhar. Por que comes do joio de Adão e não do paraíso? Levanta-te, e façamos com que ele seja lançado fora do paraíso, assim como fomos lançados por causa dele. Disse-lhe a serpente: Temo que o Senhor se ire contra mim. O diabo, porém, lhe disse: Não temas; sê apenas o meu instrumento, e eu falarei por tua boca palavras para enganá-lo.

2"I hear that thou art wiser than all the beasts, and I have come to counsel thee. Why dost thou eat of Adam's tares and not of paradise Rise up and we will cause him to be cast out of paradise, even as we were cast out through him." The serpent saith to him, "I fear lest the Lord be wroth with me." The devil saith to him: "Fear not, only be my vessel and I will speak through thy mouth words to deceive him."
