Apocalipse de Paulo 12

1E olhei para o alto e vi outros anjos cujo semblante brilhava como o sol, com os lombos cingidos de cintos de ouro, tendo palmas nas mãos e o sinal de Deus, vestidos de vestes nas quais estava escrito o nome do Filho de Deus, cheios além disso de toda mansidão e piedade; e perguntei aos anjos, dizendo: Quem são estes, Senhor, em tão grande beleza e piedade?

1And I looked on high and I saw other angels whose countenance shone as the sun, their loins girded with golden girdles, having palms in their hands, and the sign of God, clothed with garments in which was written the name of the Son of God, filled moreover with all meekness and pity; and I asked the angels saying: Who are these, Lord, in so great beauty and pity?

2E o anjo respondeu e disse-me: Estes são os anjos da justiça que são enviados para conduzir as almas dos justos, na hora da necessidade, que creram que tinham o Senhor por seu auxiliador.

2And the angel answered and said unto me: These are the angels of justice who are sent to lead up the souls of the just, in the hour of need, who believed that they had the Lord for their helper.

3E eu lhe disse: Encontram necessariamente testemunhas os justos e os pecadores quando morreram?

3And I said to him: Do the just and sinners necessarily meet witnesses when they have died?

4E o anjo respondeu e disse-me: Há um só caminho por onde todos passam a Deus, mas os justos, tendo consigo o seu auxiliador, não se confundem quando vão comparecer à vista de Deus.

4And the angel answered and said to me: There is one way by which all pass over to God, but the just having their helper with them are not confounded when they go to appear in the sight of God.
