Apocalipse de Paulo 13

1E disse ao anjo: Desejava ver as almas dos justos e dos pecadores saindo do mundo.

1And I said to the angel: I wished to see the souls of the just and of sinners going out of the world.

2E o anjo respondeu e disse-me: Olha para baixo, para a terra.

2And the angel answered and said unto me: Look down upon the earth.

3E olhei do céu para baixo, para a terra, e vi o mundo inteiro, e não era nada aos meus olhos, e vi os filhos dos homens como se fossem nada, e faltando, e maravilhei-me e disse ao anjo: É esta a grandeza dos homens?

3And I looked down from heaven upon the earth, and saw the whole world, and it was nothing in my sight and I saw the sons of men as though they were naught, and a-wanting, and I wondered and said to the angel: Is this the greatness of men?

4E o anjo respondeu e disse-me: É, e estes são os que fazem o mal desde a manhã até a tarde.

4And the angel answered and said unto me: It is, and these are they who do evil from morning till evening.

5E olhei e vi uma grande nuvem de fogo estendida sobre o mundo inteiro, e disse ao anjo: Que é isto, meu Senhor? e ele me disse: Esta é a injustiça suscitada pelos príncipes dos pecadores.

5And I looked and saw a great cloud of fire spread over the whole world, and I said to the angel: What is this, my Lord? and he said to me: This is injustice stirred up by the princes of sinners.
