Apocalipse de Paulo 18

1E naquela mesma hora as almas foram exibidas no meio, e a alma do pecador as reconheceu; e o Senhor disse à alma do pecador: Digo-te, alma, confessa a tua obra que fizeste nestas almas que vês, quando estavam no mundo.

1And in that same hour the souls were exhibited in the midst, and the soul of the sinner knew them; and the Lord said to the soul of the sinner: I say unto thee, soul, confess thy work which thou wroughtest in these souls, whom thou seest, when they were in the world.

2E ele respondeu e disse: Senhor, ainda não faz um ano inteiro que matei este e derramei o seu sangue sobre a terra, e com outra (uma mulher) cometi fornicação: e não só isto, mas também lhe fiz grande dano, tirando-lhe os bens.

2And he answered and said: Lord, it is not yet a full year since I slew this one and poured his blood upon the ground, and with another (a woman) I committed fornication: not this alone, but I also greatly harmed her in taking away her goods.

3E o Senhor Deus, o justo juiz, disse: Ou não sabias que aquele que faz violência a outro, se morre primeiro o que sofre a violência, é guardado neste lugar até que morra o que fez o mal, e então ambos comparecem na presença do juiz, e agora cada um recebe segundo a sua obra.

3And the Lord God, the just judge, said: Either thou didst not know that he who does violence to another, if he dies first who sustains the violence, is kept in this place until the doer of hurt dies, and then both stand in the presence of the judge, and now each receives according to his deed.

4E ouvi a voz de alguém que dizia: Seja aquela alma entregue nas mãos de Tártaro e conduzida ao inferno: ele o conduzirá à prisão inferior, e será posto em tormentos e deixado ali até o grande dia do juízo.

4And I heard a voice of one saying: Let that soul be delivered into the hands of Tartarus, and led down into hell: he shall lead him into the lower prison and he shall be put in torments, and left there till the great day of judgment.

5E de novo ouvi mil milhares de anjos cantando hinos ao Senhor e clamando: Tu és justo, ó Senhor, e justos são os teus juízos.

5And again I heard a thousand thousand angels saying hymns to the Lord, and crying: Thou art just, O Lord, and just are thy judgments.
