Apocalipse de Paulo 20

1E quando entrei no interior da porta do Paraíso, veio ao meu encontro um velho, cujo semblante brilhava como o sol; e quando me abraçou, disse: Salve, Paulo, amado de Deus.

1And when I had entered the interior of the gate of Paradise, there came out to meet me an old man whose countenance shone as the sun; and when he had embraced me he said: Hail, Paul, beloved of God.

2E beijou-me com semblante alegre.

2And he kissed me with a cheerful countenance.

3Chorou, e eu lhe disse: Irmão, por que choras?

3He wept, and I said to him: Brother, why dost thou weep?

4E de novo suspirando e lamentando disse: Somos feridos pelos homens, e eles nos afligem muito; pois muitas são as boas coisas que o Senhor preparou, e grande é a sua promessa, mas muitos não as percebem.

4And again sighing and lamenting he said: We are hurt by men, and they vex us greatly; for many are the good things which the Lord has prepared, and great is his promise, but many do not perceive them.

5E perguntei ao anjo e disse: Senhor, quem é este?

5And I asked the angel, and said: Sir, who is this?

6E ele me disse: Este é Enoque, o escriba da justiça.

6And he said to me: This is Enoch, the scribe of righteousness.

7E entrei no interior daquele lugar, e imediatamente vi o sol, e ao vir saudou-me rindo e alegrando-se.

7And I entered into the interior of that place, and immediately I saw the sun, and coming it saluted me laughing and rejoicing.

8E quando (me) viu, virou-se e chorou, e disse-me: Paulo, oxalá recebas os teus trabalhos que fizeste na raça humana.

8And when it had seen (me), it turned away and wept, and said to me: Paul, would that thou shouldst receive thy labours which thou hast done in the human race.

9Pois eu, com efeito, vi as grandes e muitas coisas boas que Deus preparou para os justos, e as promessas de Deus são grandes, mas muitos não as percebem; mas mesmo com muitos trabalhos mal um ou dois entram nestes lugares.

9For me, indeed, I have seen the great and many good things, which God has prepared for the just, and the promises of God are great, but many do not perceive them; but even by many labours scarcely one or two enters into these places.
