Apocalipse de Paulo 23

1E o anjo respondeu e disse-me: Segue-me, e levar-te-ei à Cidade de Cristo.

1And the angel answered and said unto me: Follow me and I will lead thee into the City of Christ.

2E ele estava de pé sobre o Lago Aquerusiano e pôs-me num navio de ouro, e anjos, como que três mil, cantavam hinos diante de mim, até que cheguei à Cidade de Cristo.

2And he was standing on the Acherousian Lake and he put me into a golden ship and angels as it were three thousand were saying hymns before me till I arrived at the City of Christ.

3Além disso, os que habitavam a Cidade de Cristo alegraram-se muito comigo, quando fui a eles, e entrei e vi a Cidade de Cristo, e era toda de ouro, e doze muros a cercavam, e doze torres interiores, e cada muro tinha entre eles estádios isolados no perímetro: E eu disse ao anjo: Senhor, quanto é um estádio?

3Moreover those who inhabited the City of Christ greatly rejoiced over me as I went to them, and I entered and saw the City of Christ, and it was all of gold, and twelve walls encircled it, and twelve interior towers, and each wall had between them single stadia in the circuit: And I said to the angel, Sir, how much is a stadium?

4O anjo respondeu e disse-me: Tanto quanto há entre o Senhor Deus e os homens que estão na terra, pois a Cidade de Cristo é a única grande.

4The angel answered and said to me: As much as there is between the Lord God and the men who are on the earth, for the City of Christ is alone great.

5E havia doze portas no perímetro da cidade, de grande beleza, e quatro rios que a cercavam.

5And there were twelve gates in the circuit of the city, of great beauty, and four rivers which encircled it.

6Havia, além disso, um rio de mel e um rio de leite, e um rio de vinho e um rio de óleo.

6There was, moreover, a river of honey and a river of milk, and a river of wine and a river of oil.

7E eu disse ao anjo: Que são estes rios que rodeiam aquela cidade?

7And I said to the angel: What are these rivers surrounding that city?

8E ele me diz: Estes são os quatro rios que fluem em abundância para os que estão nesta terra da promessa, cujos nomes são: o rio de mel chama-se Fison, e o rio de leite Eufrates, e o rio de óleo Gion, e o rio de vinho Tigre; tais são, portanto, para os que, postos no mundo, não usaram o poder destas coisas, mas tiveram fome destas coisas e se afligiram por amor do Senhor Deus: de modo que, quando estes entrarem nesta cidade, o Senhor lhes atribuirá estas coisas no alto acima de toda medida.

8And he saith to me: These are the four rivers which flow sufficiently for those who are in this land of promise, of which the names are: the river of honey is called Fison, and the river of milk Euphrates, and the river of oil Gion, and the river of wine Tigris, such therefore they are for those who when placed in the world did not use the power of these things, but they hungered for these things and afflicted themselves for the sake of the Lord God: so that when these enter into this city, the Lord will assign them these things on high above all measure.
