Apocalipse de Paulo 33

1Eu, na verdade, quando ouvi isto, chorei e gemi pela raça humana.

1I, indeed, when I heard this, wept and groaned over the human race.

2O anjo respondeu e disse-me: Por que choras?

2The angel answered and said unto me: Why dost thou weep?

3És mais piedoso que Deus?

3Art thou more pitiful than God?

4Pois, ainda que Deus seja bom, sabe também que há castigos, e suporta com paciência a raça humana, deixando cada um fazer a sua própria vontade no tempo em que habita na terra.

4For though God is good, He knows also that there are punishments, and He patiently bears with the human race, dismissing each one to work his own will in the time in which he dwells on the earth.
