Apocalipse de Paulo 41

1E ele me levou ao sul e pôs-me sobre um poço, e achei-o selado com sete selos: e, respondendo, o anjo que estava comigo disse ao anjo daquele lugar: Abre a boca do poço, para que Paulo, o amado de Deus, veja, pois lhe é dada autoridade para ver todas as penas do inferno.

1And he carried me south and placed me above a well, and I found it sealed with seven seals: and answering, the angel who was with me said to the angel of that place: Open the mouth of the well that Paul, the well-beloved of God, may see, for authority is given him that he may see all the pains of hell.

2E o anjo disse-me: Fica ao longe, para que possas suportar o fedor deste lugar.

2And the angel said to me: Stand afar off that thou mayest be able to bear the stench of this place.

3Quando, pois, o poço foi aberto, imediatamente subiu dele certo fedor duro e maligno, que supera todos os castigos: e olhei para dentro do poço e vi massas de fogo ardendo em toda parte, e lugares estreitos, e a boca do poço era estreita, de modo a admitir um só homem.

3When therefore the well was opened, immediately there arose from it a certain hard and malign stench, which surpasses all punishments: and I looked into the well and I saw fiery masses glowing in every part, and narrow places, and the mouth of the well was narrow so as to admit one man only.

4E o anjo respondeu e disse-me: Se algum homem tiver sido posto neste poço do abismo e este tiver sido selado sobre ele, jamais se fará memória dele à vista do Pai e do seu Filho e dos santos anjos.

4And the angel answered and said unto me: If any man shall have been put into this well of the abyss and it shall have been sealed over him, no remembrance of him shall ever be made in the sight of the Father and His Son and the holy angels.

5E eu disse: Quem são estes, Senhor, que são postos neste poço?

5And I said: Who are these, Sir, who are put into this well?

6E ele me disse: São todos os que não confessarem que Cristo veio na carne e que a Virgem Maria o deu à luz, e todos os que disserem que o pão e o cálice da Eucaristia de bênção não são este corpo e sangue de Cristo.

6And he said to me: They are whoever shall not confess that Christ has come in the flesh and that the Virgin Mary brought him forth, and whoever says that the bread and cup of the Eucharist of blessing are not this body and blood of Christ.
