Apocalipse de Paulo 51

1E voltando-me, vi outros justos que vinham de longe, e perguntei ao anjo: Senhor, quem são aqueles?

1And turning round, I saw other just ones coming from afar, and I asked the angel: Sir, who are those?

2E ele me respondeu: Estes são Elias e Eliseu.

2And he answered me: These are Elias and Eliseus.

3E saudaram-me: e eu lhes disse: Quem sois vós?

3And they saluted me: and I said to them: Who are ye?

4E um deles respondeu e disse: Sou Elias, o profeta de Deus; sou Elias que orou, e por causa da minha palavra o céu não choveu por três anos e seis meses, por causa da injustiça dos homens.

4And one of them answered and said: I am Elias, the prophet of God; I am Elias who prayed, and because of my word, the heaven did not rain for three years and six months, on account of the unrighteousness of men.

5Deus é justo e verdadeiro, que faz a vontade dos seus servos: pois os anjos muitas vezes rogaram ao Senhor por chuva, e ele disse: Sede pacientes até que o meu servo Elias ore e peça por isto e eu enviarei chuva sobre a terra.

5God is just and true, who doeth the will of his servants: for the angels often besought the Lord for rain, and he said: Be patient till my servant Elias shall pray and petition for this and I will send rain on the earth.
