Apocalipse de Paulo 6

1E frequentemente também o mar exclamou, dizendo: Senhor Deus Todo-Poderoso, os homens profanaram o teu santo nome em mim; permite-me levantar-me e cobrir todo bosque, e pomar, e o mundo inteiro, até que eu apague todos os filhos dos homens de diante da tua face, para que saibam que tu és Deus só.

1And frequently also the sea exclaimed saying: Lord God Almighty, men have defiled thy holy name in me; permit me to arise and cover every wood and orchard and the whole world, until I blot out all the sons of men from before thy face, that they may know that thou art God alone.

2E a voz veio de novo e disse: Sei todas as coisas; o meu olho vê tudo, e o meu ouvido ouve, mas a minha paciência os suporta até que se convertam e se arrependam.

2And the voice came again and said: I know all things; mine eye seeth everything, and mine ear heareth, but my patience bears with them until they be converted and repent.

3Mas se não voltarem, julgá-los-ei.

3But if they do not return, I will judge them.

4Às vezes também as águas falaram contra os pecados dos homens, dizendo: Senhor Deus Todo-Poderoso, todos os filhos dos homens profanaram o teu santo nome.

4Sometimes the waters also spoke against the sins of men saying: Lord God Almighty, all the sons of men have defiled thy holy name.

5E veio uma voz que disse: Sei todas as coisas antes que aconteçam, pois o meu olho vê e o meu ouvido ouve todas as coisas, mas a minha paciência os suporta até que se convertam.

5And there came a voice saying: I know all things before they come to pass, for mine eye seeth and mine ear heareth all things, but my patience bears with them until they be converted.

6Mas se não, julgá-los-ei.

6But if not I will judge them.

7Frequentemente também a terra exclamou ao Senhor contra os filhos dos homens, dizendo: Senhor Deus Todo-Poderoso, sou prejudicada acima de toda outra criatura tua, suportando as fornicações, adultérios, homicídios, furtos, perjúrios, e magia, e maldades dos homens, e todo o mal que fazem, de modo que o pai se levanta contra o filho, e o filho contra o pai, o estranho contra o estranho, de modo que cada um contamina a mulher do seu próximo.

7Frequently also the earth too exclaimed to the Lord against the sons of men saying: Lord God Almighty, I above every other creature of thine am harmed, supporting the fornications, adulteries, homicides, thefts, perjuries and magic and ill-doings of men and all the evil they do, so that the father rises up against the son, and the son upon the father, the alien against the alien, so that each one defiles his neighbour's wife.

8O pai sobe ao leito do seu próprio filho, e o filho do mesmo modo sobe ao leito do seu próprio pai; e em todos estes males, os que oferecem o sacrifício ao teu nome profanaram o teu santo lugar.

8The father ascends upon the bed of his own son, and the son likewise ascends the couch of his own father; and in all these evils, they who offer the sacrifice to thy name have defiled thy holy place.

9Por isso sou ferida acima de toda criatura, não desejando mostrar o meu poder a mim mesma, nem os meus frutos aos filhos dos homens.

9Therefore I am injured above every creature, desiring not to shew my power to myself, and my fruits to the sons of men.

10Permite-me e destruirei a virtude dos meus frutos.

10Permit me and I will destroy the virtue of my fruits.

11E veio uma voz que disse: Sei todas as coisas, e não há quem possa esconder-se do seu pecado.

11And there came a voice and said: I know all things, and there is none who can hide himself from his sin.

12Além disso conheço as suas impiedades, mas a minha santidade os suporta até que se convertam e se arrependam.

12Moreover I know their impieties, but my holiness suffers them until they be converted and repent.

13Mas se não voltarem a mim, julgá-los-ei.

13But if they do not return unto me I will judge them.
