Apocalipse de Paulo 9

1Responderam e disseram: Vimos dos que renunciaram a este mundo por amor do teu santo nome, andando como peregrinos, e em cavernas das rochas, e chorando a toda hora em que habitaram a terra, e passando fome e sede por causa do teu nome, com os lombos cingidos, tendo nas mãos o incenso dos seus corações, e orando e bendizendo a toda hora, e refreando-se e vencendo-se a si mesmos, chorando e lamentando mais que os demais que habitam a terra.

1They answered and said: We come from those who have renounced this world for the sake of thy holy name, wandering as pilgrims, and in caves of the rocks, and weeping every hour in which they inhabited the earth, and hungering and thirsting because of thy name, with their loins girded, having in their hands the incense of their hearts, and praying and blessing every hour, and restraining and overcoming themselves, weeping and wailing above the rest that inhabit the earth.

2E nós, com efeito, os seus anjos, lamentamos junto com eles: para onde, portanto, te aprouver, manda-nos ir e servir, para que outros também não o façam, mas os desamparados mais que os demais que estão na terra.

2And we indeed, their angels, mourn along with them: whither therefore it shall please thee, command us to go and minister, lest others also do it, but the destitute above the rest who are on earth.

3E veio a voz de Deus a eles, dizendo: Sabei que agora, de hoje em diante, a minha graça vos é designada, e o meu auxílio, que é o meu Filho amado, estará presente com eles, guiando-os a toda hora; servindo-os também, nunca os abandonando, pois o lugar deles é a sua habitação.

3And there came the voice of God to them saying: Know ye that now henceforward my grace is appointed unto you, and my help, who is my well-beloved Son, shall be present with them, guiding them every hour; ministering also to them, never deserting them, since their place is his habitation.
