Apocalipse de Pedro 1

1A Segunda Vinda de Cristo e a Ressurreição dos Mortos (que Cristo revelou a Pedro) daqueles que morreram por causa de seus pecados, visto que não guardaram o mandamento de Deus, seu Criador.

1The Second Coming of Christ and Resurrection of the Dead (which Christ revealed unto Peter) who died because of their sins, for that they kept not the commandment of God their creator.

2E ele (Pedro) meditava sobre isso, para que pudesse compreender o mistério do Filho de Deus, o misericordioso e amante da misericórdia.

2And he (Peter) pondered thereon, that he might perceive the mystery of the Son of God, the merciful and lover of mercy.

3E, estando o Senhor assentado no Monte das Oliveiras, vieram a Ele os seus discípulos.

3And when the Lord was seated upon the Mount of Olives, his disciples came unto him.

4E nós suplicamos e rogamos a Ele individualmente e oramos a Ele, dizendo-lhe: Declara-nos quais são os sinais da tua vinda e do fim do mundo, a fim de que possamos perceber e discernir o tempo da tua vinda e instruir aqueles que vierem depois de nós, a quem pregamos a palavra do teu evangelho e a quem estabelecemos na tua igreja, para que eles, ouvindo isto, tomem cuidado de si mesmos e observem o tempo da tua vinda.

4And we besought and entreated him severally and prayed him, saying unto him: Declare unto us what are the signs of thy coming and of the end of the world, that we may perceive and mark the time of thy coming and instruct them that come after us, unto whom we preach the word of thy gospel, and whom we set over (in) thy church, that they when they hear it may take heed to themselves and mark the time of thy coming.

5E o nosso Senhor nos respondeu, dizendo: Acautelai-vos para que ninguém vos engane, e não sejais hesitantes nem sirvais a outros deuses.

5And our Lord answered us, saying: Take heed that no man deceive you, and that ye be not doubters and serve other gods.

6Muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Eu sou o Cristo.

6Many shall come in my name, saying: I am the Christ.

7Não creiais neles, nem vos aproximeis deles.

7Believe them not, neither draw near unto them.

8Pois a vinda do Filho de Deus não será manifesta (isto é, prevista de antemão); mas como o relâmpago que resplandece do oriente ao ocidente, assim virei sobre as nuvens do céu com um grande exército em minha majestade; com a minha cruz indo adiante da minha face virei em minha majestade; resplandecendo sete vezes mais do que o sol virei em minha majestade com todos os meus santos, os meus anjos (os meus santos anjos).

8For the coming of the Son of God shall not be plain (i.e. foreseen); but as the lightning that shineth from the east unto the west, so will I come upon the clouds of heaven with a great host in my majesty; with my cross going before my face will I come in my majesty; shining sevenfold more than the sun will I come in my majesty with all my saints, mine angels (mine holy angels).

9E meu Pai porá uma coroa sobre a minha cabeça, para que Eu julgue os vivos e os mortos e recompense a cada homem conforme as suas obras.

9And my Father shall set a crown upon mine head, that I may judge the quick and the dead and recompense every man according to his works.
