Apocalipse de Pedro 3

1E Ele me mostrou em sua mão direita as almas de todos os homens.

1And he showed me in his right hand the souls of all men.

2E na palma da sua mão direita estava a imagem daquilo que se cumprirá no último dia: e como os justos e os pecadores serão separados, e como agirão os retos de coração, e como os malfeitores serão desarraigados para toda a eternidade.

2And on the palm of his right hand the image of that which shall be accomplished at the last day: and how the righteous and the sinners shall be separated, and how they do that are upright in heart, and how the evil-doers shall be rooted out unto all eternity.

3Contemplamos como os pecadores choravam com grande aflição e tristeza, até que todos os que viram isso com seus próprios olhos choraram, quer fossem justos ou anjos, e Ele mesmo também.

3We beheld how the sinners wept (weep) in great affliction and sorrow, until all that saw it with their eyes wept, whether righteous or angels, and he himself also.

4E perguntei-lhe e disse-lhe: Senhor, permite-me dizer a tua palavra acerca dos pecadores: Melhor seria para eles se não tivessem sido criados.

4And I asked him and said unto him: Lord, suffer me to speak thy word concerning the sinners: It were better for them if they had not been created.

5E o Salvador respondeu e disse-me: Pedro, por que falas assim, dizendo que melhor lhes fora não terem sido criados?

5And the Saviour answered and said unto me: Peter, wherefore speakest thou thus, that not to have been created were better for them?

6Tu resistes a Deus.

6Thou resistest God.

7Tu não terias mais compaixão do que Ele pela sua imagem: pois Ele os criou e os trouxe do não-ser à existência.

7Thou wouldest not have more compassion than he for his image: for he hath created them and brought them forth out of not being.

8Agora, porque viste o pranto que sobrevirá aos pecadores nos últimos dias, por isso o teu coração está perturbado; mas Eu te mostrarei as obras deles, pelas quais pecaram contra o Altíssimo.

8Now because thou hast seen the lamentation which shall come upon the sinners in the last days, therefore is thine heart troubled; but I will show thee their works, whereby they have sinned against the Most High.

9Vê agora o que sobrevirá a eles nos últimos dias, quando vier o dia de Deus e o dia da decisão do julgamento de Deus.

9Behold now what shall come upon them in the last days, when the day of God and the day of the decision of the judgement of God cometh.

10Do oriente ao ocidente todos os filhos dos homens serão reunidos perante meu Pai que vive para sempre.

10From the east unto the west shall all the children of men be gathered together before my Father that liveth for ever.

11E Ele ordenará ao inferno que abra seus ferrolhos de diamante e entregue tudo o que nele há.

11And he shall command hell to open its bars of adamant and give up all that is therein.
