Apocalipse de Pedro 8

1E novamente eis [duas: texto corrompido] mulheres: penduram-nas pelo pescoço e pelos cabelos; e as lançarão na cova.

1And again behold [two: corrupt] women: they hang them up by their neck and by their hair; they shall cast them into the pit.

2Estas são as que trançavam os seus cabelos, não para o bem (ou: não para torná-los belos), mas para se entregarem à fornicação, para enlaçarem as almas dos homens na perdição.

2These are they which plaited their hair, not for good (or, not to make them beautiful) but to turn them to fornication, that they might ensnare the souls of men unto perdition.

3E os homens que se uniram a elas na contaminação da fornicação serão pendurados pelos lombos naquele lugar de fogo; e dirão uns aos outros: Não sabíamos que chegaríamos a este castigo eterno.

3And the men that lay with them in fornication shall be hung by their loins in that place of fire; and they shall say one to another: We knew not that we should come into everlasting punishment.

4E os homicidas e aqueles que foram cúmplices deles serão lançados no fogo, num lugar cheio de animais peçonhentos, e serão atormentados sem descanso, sentindo as suas dores; e os vermes serão tão numerosos quanto uma nuvem escura.

4And the murderers and them that have made common cause with them shall they cast into the fire, in a place full of venomous beasts, and they shall be tormented without rest, feeling their pains; and their worms shall be as many in number as a dark cloud.

5E o anjo Ezraiel trará para fora as almas daqueles que foram assassinados, e eles contemplarão o tormento daqueles que os mataram, e dirão uns aos outros: Retidão e justiça é o julgamento de Deus.

5And the angel Ezraël shall bring forth the souls of them that have been slain, and they shall behold the torment of them that slew them, and say one to another: Righteousness and justice is the judgement of God.

6Pois ouvimos, mas não cremos, que chegaríamos a este lugar de julgamento eterno.

6For we heard, but we believed not, that we should come into this place of eternal judgement.

7E perto dessa chama haverá uma cova, grande e muito profunda, e nela flui de cima toda sorte de tormento, imundície e secreções.

7And near by this flame shall be a pit, great and very deep, and into it floweth from above all manner of torment, foulness, and issue.

8E mulheres são tragadas ali até o pescoço e atormentadas com grande dor.

8And women are swallowed up therein up to their necks and tormented with great pain.

9Estas são as que causaram o aborto de seus filhos antes do tempo, e corromperam a obra de Deus que as criou.

9These are they that have caused their children to be born untimely, and have corrupted the work of God that created them.

10Defronte delas haverá outro lugar onde assentam os seus filhos [ambos] vivos, e clamam a Deus.

10Over against them shall be another place where sit their children [both] alive, and they cry unto God.

11E relâmpagos saem daquelas crianças e ferem os olhos daquelas que, por causa da fornicação, causaram a sua destruição.

11And flashes (lightnings) go forth from those children and pierce the eyes of them that for fornication's sake have caused their destruction.

12Outros homens e mulheres estarão sobre eles, nus; e os seus filhos estarão defronte deles num lugar de deleite, e suspirarão e clamarão a Deus por causa de seus pais, dizendo: Estes são os que desprezaram, amaldiçoaram e transgrediram os teus mandamentos e nos entregaram à morte; amaldiçoaram o anjo que nos formou, nos penduraram e nos privaram da luz que concedeste a todas as criaturas.

12Other men and women shall stand above them, naked; and their children stand over against them in a place of delight, and sigh and cry unto God because of their parents, saying: These are they that have despised and cursed and transgressed thy commandments and delivered us unto death: they have cursed the angel that formed us, and have hanged us up, and withheld from us (or, begrudged us) the light which thou hast given unto all creatures.

13E o leite de suas mães, fluindo de seus seios, coalhará, e dele sairão animais devoradores de carne, os quais sairão e se voltarão contra elas e as atormentarão para sempre juntamente com os seus maridos, porque abandonaram os mandamentos de Deus e mataram os seus filhos.

13And the milk of their mothers flowing from their breasts shall congeal, and from it shall come beasts devouring flesh, which shall come forth and turn and torment them for ever with their husbands, because they forsook the commandments of God and slew their children.

14Quanto aos seus filhos, serão entregues ao anjo Temelucos (isto é, um anjo protetor: ver acima, nos Fragmentos).

14As for their children, they shall be delivered unto the angel Temlākos (i.e. a care-taking angel: see above, in the Fragments).

15E aqueles que os mataram serão atormentados eternamente, pois assim Deus o quer.

15And they that slew them shall be tormented eternally, for God willeth it so.
