Ascensão de Isaías 1

1E aconteceu que, no vigésimo sexto ano do reinado de Ezequias, rei de Judá, ele chamou Manassés, seu filho. Este era o seu único filho.

1AND it came to pass in the twenty-sixth year of the reign of Hezekiah king of Judah that he called Manasseh his son. Now he was his only one.

2E o chamou à presença de Isaías, filho de Amós, o profeta, e à presença de Josab, filho de Isaías, a fim de entregar-lhe as palavras de justiça que o próprio rei tinha visto:

2And he called him into the presence of Isaiah the son of Amoz the prophet, and into the presence of Josab the son of Isaiah, in order to deliver unto him the words of righteousness which the king himself had seen:

3E os juízos eternos e os tormentos da Geena, e o príncipe deste mundo, e os seus anjos, e as suas autoridades e os seus poderes.

3And of the eternal judgments and torments of Gehenna, and of the prince of this world, and of his angels, and his authorities and his powers.

4E as palavras da fé do Amado, que ele próprio tinha visto no décimo quinto ano do seu reinado, durante a sua enfermidade.

4And the words of the faith of the Beloved which he himself had seen in the fifteenth year of his reign during his illness.

5E entregou-lhe as palavras escritas que Samnas, o escriba, havia escrito, e também aquelas que Isaías, filho de Amós, lhe tinha dado, e também aos profetas, para que escrevessem e guardassem consigo o que ele próprio tinha visto na casa do rei a respeito do juízo dos anjos, e da destruição deste mundo, e a respeito das vestes dos santos e da sua saída, e a respeito da sua transformação, e da perseguição e ascensão do Amado.

5And he delivered unto him the written words which Samnas the scribe had written, and also those which Isaiah, the son of Amoz, had given to him, and also to the prophets, that they might write and store up with him what he himself had seen in the king's house regarding the judgment of the angels, and the destruction of this world, and regarding the garments of the saints and their going forth, and regarding their transformation and the persecution and ascension of the Beloved.

6No vigésimo ano do reinado de Ezequias, Isaías tinha visto as palavras desta profecia e as tinha entregado a Josab, seu filho. E enquanto ele (Ezequias) dava ordens, Josab, filho de Isaías, estava presente.

6In the twentieth year of the reign of Hezekiah, Isaiah had seen the words of this prophecy and had delivered them to Josab his son. And whilst he (Hezekiah) gave commands, Josab the son of Isaiah standing by.

7Isaías disse a Ezequias, o rei, e não somente na presença de Manassés lhe falou: 'Tão certo como vive o Senhor, e vive o Espírito que fala em mim, todos estes mandamentos e estas palavras serão anulados por Manassés, teu filho, e pela ação das suas mãos partirei em meio à tortura do meu corpo.

7Isaiah said to Hezekiah the king, but not in the presence of Manasseh only did he say unto him: 'As the Lord liveth, and the Spirit which speaketh in me liveth, all these commands and these words will be made of none effect by Manasseh thy son, and through the agency of his hands I shall depart amid the torture of my body.

8E Samael Malquira servirá a Manassés, e executará todo o seu desejo, e ele se tornará seguidor de Beliar, e não meu:

8And Sammael Malchira will serve Manasseh, and execute all his desire, and he will become a follower of Beliar rather than of me:

9E a muitos em Jerusalém e na Judeia fará abandonar a verdadeira fé, e Beliar habitará em Manassés, e pelas suas mãos serei serrado ao meio.'

9And many in Jerusalem and in Judea he will cause to abandon the true faith, and Beliar will dwell in Manasseh, and by his hands I shall be sawn asunder.'

10E quando Ezequias ouviu estas palavras, chorou amargamente, e rasgou as suas vestes, e pôs terra sobre a cabeça, e caiu com o rosto em terra.

10And when Hezekiah heard these words he wept very bitterly, and rent his garments, and placed earth upon his head, and fell on his face.

11E Isaías lhe disse: 'O conselho de Samael contra Manassés está consumado: nada te valerá."

11And Isaiah said unto him: 'The counsel of Sammael against Manasseh is consummated: nought will avail thee."

12E naquele dia Ezequias resolveu no seu coração matar Manassés, seu filho.

12And on that day Hezekiah resolved in his heart to slay Manasseh his son.

13E Isaías disse a Ezequias: 'O Amado anulou o teu plano, e o propósito do teu coração não se cumprirá, pois com esta vocação fui chamado e herdarei a herança do Amado.'

13And Isaiah said to Hezekiah: 'The Beloved hath made of none effect thy design, and the purpose of thy heart will not be accomplished, for with this calling have I been called and I shall inherit the heritage of the Beloved.'
