Atos dos Apóstolos 2

1E ao se cumprir o dia de Pentecostes, estavam todos concordando no mesmo lugar.

1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2E de repente houve um ruído do céu, como de um vento forte e violento, e encheu toda a casa onde eles estavam sentados.

2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3E foram vistas por eles línguas repartidas como que de fogo, e se pôs sobre cada um deles.

3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4E eles foram todos cheios do Espírito Santo, e começaram a falar em outras línguas, conforme o Espírito lhes dava a discursarem.

4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5E havia judeus que estavam morando em Jerusalém, homens devotos, de toda nação abaixo do céu.

5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

6E acontecendo esta voz, ajuntou-se a multidão; e ela estava confusa, porque cada um os ouvia falar em sua própria língua.

6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

7E todos estavam admirados, e se maravilhavam, dizendo uns aos outros: Ora, estes que estão falando, não são todos eles galileus?

7And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

8E como nós ouvimos cada um deles em nossa própria língua, na qual nascemos?

8And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

9Partos, Medos, Elamitas, os habitantes da Mesopotâmia, da Judeia, Capadócia, Ponto, Ásia,

9Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,

10Frígia, Panfília, Egito e regiões da Líbia perto de Cirene, e romanos estrangeiros, tanto judeus como prosélitos,

10Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

11Cretenses e Árabes, os ouvimos em nossas próprias línguas eles falarem das grandezas de Deus.

11Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

12E todos estavam admirados e confusos, dizendo uns aos outros: O que isso quer dizer?

12And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

13E outros, ridicularizando, diziam: Eles estão cheios de vinho doce.

13Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

14Mas Pedro, pondo-se de pé com os onze, levantou sua voz, e lhes falou: Homens judeus, e todos os que habitais em Jerusalém, seja isto conhecido, e ouvi minhas palavras:

14But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

15Porque estes não estão bêbados, como vós pensais, sendo ainda a terceira hora do dia.

15For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

16Mas isto é o que foi dito por meio do profeta Joel:

16But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

17E será nos últimos dias, diz Deus, que: Eu derramarei do meu Espírito sobre toda carne, e vossos filhos e filhas profetizarão, e vossos rapazes terão visões, e vossos velhos sonharão sonhos;

17And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18E também sobre meus servos e sobre minhas servas, naqueles dias eu derramarei do meu Espírito, e profetizarão.

18And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

19E darei milagres acima no céu, e sinais abaixo na terra; sangue, fogo, e vapor de fumaça;

19And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20O sol se converterá em trevas, e a lua em sangue, antes que venha o grande e notório dia do Senhor.

20The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

21E será que todo aquele que chamar ao nome do Senhor será salvo.

21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

22Homens israelitas, ouvi estas palavras: Jesus o nazareno, homem aprovado por Deus entre vós, com maravilhas, milagres e sinais, que Deus fez por meio dele no meio de vós, assim como vós mesmos também sabeis;

22Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

23Este, sendo entregue pelo determinado conselho e conhecimento prévio de Deus, sendo tomando, pelas mãos de injustos o crucificastes e matastes;

23Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

24Ao qual Deus ressuscitou, tendo soltado as dores da morte; porque não era possível ele ser retido por ela;

24Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

25Porque Davi diz sobre ele: Eu sempre via ao Senhor diante de mim, porque ele está à minha direita, para que eu não seja abalado.

25For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

26Por isso meu coração está contente, e minha língua se alegra, e até mesmo minha carne repousará em esperança.

26Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

27Pois tu não abandonarás minha alma no Xeol, nem permitirás que o teu santo veja a degradação.

27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

28Tu tens me feito conhecer os caminhos da vida; tu me encherás de alegria com tua face.

28Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

29Homens irmãos, é lícito eu vos dizer abertamente sobre o patriarca Davi, que morreu, e foi sepultado, e a sepultura dele está conosco até o dia de hoje.

29Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

30Portanto, sendo ele profeta, e sabendo que Deus tinha lhe prometido com juramento que, da sua descendência segundo a carne, levantaria ao Cristo para se sentar no seu trono;

30Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

31Vendo -o com antecedência, falou da ressurreição do Cristo, que a sua alma não foi abandonada no Xeol, nem a sua carne viu a degradação.

31He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

32A este Jesus Deus ressuscitou; do qual todos nós somos testemunhas.

32This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

33Portanto, tendo sido exaltado à direita de Deus, e recebido do Pai a promessa do Espírito Santo, derramou isto que agora estais vendo e ouvindo.

33Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

34Porque Davi não subiu aos céus; mas sim, ele diz: Disse o Senhor a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita,

34For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

35Até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo de teus pés.

35Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

36Saiba então com certeza toda a casa de Israel, que Deus o fez Senhor e Cristo a este Jesus, que vós crucificastes.

36Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

37E eles, ao ouvirem estas coisas, foram afligidos como que perfurados de coração, e disseram a Pedro, e aos outros apóstolos: Que faremos, homens irmãos?

37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38E Pedro lhes disse: Arrependei-vos, e batize-se cada um de vós no nome de Jesus Cristo, para perdão dos pecados; e vós recebereis o dom do Espírito Santo.

38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39Porque a promessa é para vós, e para vossos filhos, e para todos que ainda estão longe, a tantos quantos Deus, nosso Senhor, chamar.

39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

40E com muitas outras palavras ele dava testemunho, e exortava, dizendo: Salvai-vos desta geração perversa!

40And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

41Então os que receberam a palavra dele de boa vontade foram batizados; e foram adicionados naquele dia quase três mil almas.

41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

42E eles perseveravam na doutrina dos apóstolos, na comunhão, no partir do pão, e nas orações.

42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43E houve temor em toda alma; e muitos milagres e sinais foram feitos pelos apóstolos.

43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

44E todos os que criam estavam juntos, e tinham todas as coisas em comum.

44And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

45E eles vendiam suas propriedades e bens, e as repartiam com todos, conforme a necessidade que cada um tinha.

45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46E perseverando a cada dia em concordância no Templo, e partindo o pão de casa em casa, comiam juntos com alegria e sinceridade de coração.

46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47Louvando a Deus, e tendo graça, sendo do agrado de todo o povo. E a cada dia o Senhor acrescentava à igreja aqueles que estavam sendo salvos.

47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
