Descida ao Inferno 3

1E quando Adão, o pai primeiro criado, ouviu isto, que Jesus fora batizado no Jordão, clamou a seu filho Sete: Conta a teus filhos, os patriarcas e profetas, tudo o que ouviste de Miguel, o arcanjo, quando te enviei às portas do paraíso para rogar a Deus que te enviasse o Seu anjo para te dar óleo da árvore da misericórdia, para ungir o meu corpo quando eu estava enfermo.

1And when the first created, father Adam, had heard this, that Jesus was baptized in Jordan, he cried out to his son Seth: Tell thy sons, the patriarchs and the prophets, all that thou heardest from Michael the archangel when I sent thee to the gates of paradise to implore God that he might send thee His angel to give thee oil from the tree of mercy, with which to anoint my body when I was sick.

2Então Sete, aproximando-se dos santos patriarcas e profetas, disse: Quando eu, Sete, orava ao Senhor junto às portas do paraíso, eis que Miguel, o anjo do Senhor, me apareceu, dizendo: Fui enviado a ti pelo Senhor.

2Then Seth, coming near to the holy patriarchs and prophets, said: When I, Seth, was praying to the Lord at the gates of paradise, behold Michael, the angel of the Lord, appeared to me, saying, I have been sent to thee by the Lord.

3Fui constituído sobre o gênero humano.

3I am set over the human race.

4E a ti, Sete, digo: não te fatigues com lágrimas em orações e súplicas por causa do óleo da árvore da misericórdia para ungires teu pai Adão da dor de seu corpo, porquanto de modo algum receberás dele, senão nos últimos dias e tempos, senão quando estiverem cumpridos cinco mil e quinhentos anos: então virá sobre a terra o mui amado Filho de Deus, para ressuscitar o corpo de Adão e os corpos dos mortos; e Ele, quando vier, será batizado no Jordão.

4And to thee, Seth, I say, do not labour with tears in prayers and supplications on account of the oil of the tree of mercy to anoint thy father Adam for the pain of his body, because in no wise shalt thou receive of it, except in the last days and times, except when five thousand and five hundred years have been fulfilled: then will come upon the earth the most beloved Son of God, to raise up again the body of Adam, and the bodies of the dead; and He, when He comes, will be baptized in Jordan.

5E quando tiver saído da água do Jordão, então com o óleo de Sua misericórdia ungirá a todos os que n'Ele crerem; e aquele óleo de misericórdia será para a geração dos que hão de nascer da água e do Espírito Santo para a vida eterna.

5And when he shall have come out of the water of Jordan, then with the oil of His mercy shall He anoint all that believe on Him; and that oil of mercy shall be for the generation of those who shall be born out of water and the Holy Spirit into life eternal.

6Então, descendo sobre a terra, Cristo Jesus, o Filho amantíssimo de Deus, conduzirá nosso pai Adão ao paraíso, até a árvore da misericórdia.

6Then, descending upon earth, Christ Jesus, the most beloved Son of God, will lead our father Adam into paradise to the tree of mercy.

7E quando ouviram todas estas coisas de Sete, todos os patriarcas e profetas exultaram com grandíssima alegria.

7And when they heard all these things from Seth, all the patriarchs and prophets exulted with great exultation.
