Didaquê 2

1E este é o segundo mandamento do ensinamento.

1And this is the second commandment of the teaching.

2Não matarás, não cometerás adultério, não corromperás rapazes, não cometerás fornicação, não roubarás, não praticarás magia, não farás feitiçaria, não matarás uma criança por aborto nem a matarás quando nascer, não cobiçarás os bens do teu próximo,

2Thou shalt do no murder, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not corrupt boys, thou shalt not commit fornication, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not deal in magic, thou shalt do no sorcery, thou shalt not murder a child by abortion nor kill them when born, thou shalt not covet thy neighbors goods,

3não perjurarás, não darás falso testemunho, não falarás mal, não guardarás rancor,

3thou shalt not perjure thyself, thou shalt not bear false witness, thou shalt not speak evil, thou shalt not cherish a grudge,

4não serás de mente dupla nem de língua dupla; pois a língua dupla é laço de morte.

4thou shalt not be double-minded nor double-tongued; for the double tongue is a snare of death.

5Tua palavra não será falsa nem vã, mas cumprida pela ação.

5Thy word shall not be false or empty, but fulfilled by action.

6Não serás avarento nem ladrão nem hipócrita nem irascível nem soberbo. Não tramarás um mau desígnio contra o teu próximo.

6Thou shalt not be avaricious nor a plunderer nor a hypocrite nor ill-tempered nor proud. Thou shalt not entertain an evil design against thy neighbor.

7Não odiarás nenhum homem; mas a alguns repreenderás, e por outros orarás, e a outros amarás mais do que à tua própria vida.

7Thou shalt not hate any man but some thou shalt reprove, and for others thou shalt pray, and others thou shalt love more than thy life.
