1Tem misericórdia de nós, ó Senhor Deus de todas as coisas, e olha para nós;

1Have mercy upon us, O Lord God of all, and behold us:

2e envia o teu temor sobre todas as nações que não te buscam.

2And send thy fear upon all the nations that seek not after thee.

3Levanta a tua mão contra as nações estranhas, e vejam elas o teu poder.

3Lift up thy hand against the strange nations, and let them see thy power.

4Assim como foste santificado em nós diante delas, assim sê engrandecido entre elas diante de nós.

4As thou wast sanctified in us before them: so be thou magnified among them before us.

5E conheçam-te, como nós te conhecemos, que não há Deus senão tu só, ó Deus.

5And let them know thee, as we have known thee, that there is no God but only thou, O God.

6Mostra novos sinais e faze outras maravilhas estranhas; glorifica a tua mão e o teu braço direito, para que anunciem as tuas obras maravilhosas.

6Shew new signs, and make other strange wonders: glorify thy hand and thy right arm, that they may set forth thy wondrous works.

7Desperta a indignação e derrama a ira; tira o adversário e destrói o inimigo.

7Raise up indignation, and pour out wrath: take away the adversary, and destroy the enemy.

8Abrevia o tempo, lembra-te da aliança, e anunciem eles as tuas obras maravilhosas.

8Make the time short, remember the covenant, and let them declare thy wonderful works.

9Seja consumido pelo furor do fogo aquele que escapar, e pereçam os que oprimem o povo.

9Let him that escapeth be consumed by the rage of the fire; and let them perish that oppress the people.

10Despedaça as cabeças dos príncipes dos gentios, que dizem: Não há outro senão nós.

10Smite in sunder the heads of the rulers of the heathen, that say, There is none other but we.

11Ajunta todas as tribos de Jacó, e herda-as, como desde o princípio.

11Gather all the tribes of Jacob together, and inherit thou them, as from the beginning.

12Ó Senhor, tem misericórdia do povo que é chamado pelo teu nome, e de Israel, a quem chamaste teu primogênito.

12O Lord, have mercy upon the people that is called by thy name, and upon Israel, whom thou hast named thy firstborn.

13Ó, sê misericordioso para com Jerusalém, a tua santa cidade, o lugar do teu repouso.

13O be merciful unto Jerusalem, thy holy city, the place of thy rest.

14Enche Sião dos teus oráculos inefáveis, e o teu povo da tua glória.

14Fill Sion with thine unspeakable oracles, and thy people with thy glory:

15Dá testemunho àqueles que possuíste desde o princípio, e levanta profetas que falaram em teu nome.

15Give testimony unto those that thou hast possessed from the beginning, and raise up prophets that have been in thy name.

16Recompensa os que esperam em ti, e sejam achados fiéis os teus profetas.

16Reward them that wait for thee, and let thy prophets be found faithful.

17Ó Senhor, ouve a oração dos teus servos, segundo a bênção de Arão sobre o teu povo, para que todos os que habitam sobre a terra saibam que tu és o Senhor, o Deus eterno.

17O Lord, hear the prayer of thy servants, according to the blessing of Aaron over thy people, that all they which dwell upon the earth may know that thou art the Lord, the eternal God.

18O ventre devora toda sorte de comida; contudo, uma comida é melhor do que outra.

18The belly devoureth all meats, yet is one meat better than another.

19Assim como o paladar distingue as diversas carnes de caça, assim o coração entendido distingue as falas mentirosas.

19As the palate tasteth divers kinds of venison: so doth an heart of understanding false speeches.

20O coração perverso causa tristeza; mas o homem experimentado lhe dará o pago.

20A froward heart causeth heaviness: but a man of experience will recompense him.

21A mulher receberá qualquer homem; contudo, uma filha é melhor do que outra.

21A woman will receive every man, yet is one daughter better than another.

22A formosura da mulher alegra o semblante, e o homem nada ama mais do que isso.

22The beauty of a woman cheereth the countenance, and a man loveth nothing better.

23Se houver bondade, mansidão e consolo na sua língua, então o seu marido não é como os outros homens.

23If there be kindness, meekness, and comfort, in her tongue, then is not her husband like other men.

24Quem adquire mulher começa uma possessão, uma ajuda semelhante a si mesmo e uma coluna de descanso.

24He that getteth a wife beginneth a possession, a help like unto himself, and a pillar of rest.

25Onde não há sebe, a possessão é saqueada; e quem não tem mulher andará vagueando e gemendo.

25Where no hedge is, there the possession is spoiled: and he that hath no wife will wander up and down mourning.

26Quem confiará num ladrão bem armado, que salta de cidade em cidade? Assim, quem crerá num homem que não tem casa e se aloja onde quer que a noite o apanhe?

26Who will trust a thief well appointed, that skippeth from city to city? so who will believe a man that hath no house, and lodgeth wheresoever the night taketh him?
