Evangelho de Pedro 3

1E ele o entregou ao povo no dia anterior aos pães ázimos, a festa deles.

1And he delivered him to the people on the day before the unleavened bread, their feast.

2E tomaram o Senhor e o empurravam enquanto corriam, dizendo: Arrastemos o Filho de Deus, visto que obtivemos poder sobre Ele.

2And they took the Lord and pushed him as they ran, and said, Let us drag away the Son of God, having obtained power over him.

3E o vestiram de púrpura, e o assentaram no tribunal, dizendo: Julga com retidão, ó rei de Israel.

3And they clothed him with purple, and set him on the seat of judgment, saying, Judge righteously, O king of Israel.

4E um deles trouxe uma coroa de espinhos e a colocou sobre a cabeça do Senhor.

4And one of them brought a crown of thorns and put it on the head of the Lord.

5E outros se puseram a cuspir em seus olhos, e outros lhe esbofeteavam as faces; outros o feriam com uma cana, e alguns o açoitavam, dizendo: Com esta honra honremos o Filho de Deus.

5And others stood and spat in his eyes, and others smote his cheeks: others pricked him with a reed; and some scourged him, saying, With this honour let us honour the Son of God.
