Evangelho de Pedro 5

1E era meio-dia, e trevas cobriram toda a Judeia; e ficaram perturbados e aflitos, temendo que o sol já se houvesse posto enquanto Ele ainda vivia; pois está escrito para eles que o sol não se ponha sobre aquele que foi morto.

1And it was noon, and darkness came over all Judaea: and they were troubled and distressed, lest the sun had set, whilst he was yet alive: [for] it is written for them, that the sun set not on him that hath been put to death.

2E um deles disse: Dai-lhe de beber fel com vinagre.

2And one of them said, Give him to drink gall with vinegar.

3E misturaram e lhe deram de beber, e cumpriram todas as coisas, completando os seus pecados sobre a própria cabeça.

3And they mixed and gave him to drink, and fulfilled all things, and accomplished their sins against their own head.

4E muitos andavam com lâmpadas, supondo que fosse noite, e caíram.

4And many went about with lamps, supposing that it was night, and fell down.

5E o Senhor clamou, dizendo: Força minha, força minha, tu me desamparaste!

5And the Lord cried out, saying, My power, my power, thou hast forsaken me.

6E havendo dito isso, foi elevado.

6And when he had said it he was taken up.

7E naquela mesma hora o véu do templo de Jerusalém se rasgou em dois.

7And in that hour the vail of the temple of Jerusalem was rent in twain.
