Evangelho de Pedro 7

1Então os judeus, os anciãos e os sacerdotes, compreendendo o mal que haviam feito a si mesmos, começaram a lamentar-se e a dizer: Ai dos nossos pecados! O juízo se aproximou, e o fim de Jerusalém.

1Then the Jews and the elders and the priests, perceiving what evil they had done to themselves, began to lament and to say, Woe for our sins: the judgement hath drawn nigh, and the end of Jerusalem.

2E eu com os meus companheiros estávamos contristados; e feridos em nosso ânimo nos ocultamos, pois éramos buscados por eles como malfeitores e como se quiséssemos incendiar o templo.

2And I with my companions was grieved; and being wounded in mind we hid ourselves: for we were being sought for by them as malefactors, and as wishing to set fire to the temple.

3E por todas estas coisas jejuávamos, e permanecíamos sentados em luto e choro, noite e dia, até o sábado.

3And upon all these things we fasted and sat mourning and weeping night and day until the sabbath.
