Hebreus 9

1O primeiro pacto também tinha ordenanças de culto, e o santuário terrestre.

1Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

2Pois um tabernáculo foi preparado, o primeiro, em que havia o candelabro, a mesa, e os pães da proposição. Esse é chamado o Santo Lugar.

2For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

3Mas após o segundo véu estava o tabernáculo que se chama Santo dos Santos;

3And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

4que tinha o incensário de ouro, e a arca do pacto, toda coberta de ouro. Nela estavam: o vaso de ouro contendo o maná, a vara de Arão que florescera, e as tábuas do pacto.

4Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

5E acima dela, os querubins de glória, que faziam sombra ao propiciatório. Acerca dessas coisas não é oportuno agora falar em detalhes.

5And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

6Ora, estando estas coisas assim preparadas, os sacerdotes entram a todo tempo no primeiro tabernáculo, para cumprirem as atividades de culto.

6Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7Mas no segundo, somente o sumo sacerdote, uma vez por ano, não sem sangue, que oferece por si mesmo, e pelos pecados de ignorância do povo.

7But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

8Desta maneira, o Espírito Santo dá a entender que o caminho para o Santuário não havia sido revelado enquanto o primeiro Tabernáculo ainda estava de pé.

8The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9Esse é uma figura para o tempo presente, em que são oferecidos ofertas e sacrifícios que não podem, quanto a consciência, tornar perfeito a quem faz o serviço;

9Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10pois consistem somente em comidas e bebidas, e vários lavamentos, e ordenanças para o corpo, que foram impostas até o tempo da correção.

10Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

11Mas quando veio Cristo, o Sumo Sacerdote dos bens futuros, por meio de um Tabernáculo maior e mais perfeito, não feito por mãos, isto é, não desta criação;

11But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12ele entrou de uma vez por todas no Santuário, e obteve uma redenção eterna, não pelo sangue de bodes e bezerros, mas sim, pelo seu próprio sangue.

12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13Pois, se o sangue de touros e bodes, e as cinzas de uma novilha espalhadas sobre os imundos, santifica para a purificação do corpo,

13For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14quanto mais o sangue do Cristo que, pelo Espírito eterno, ofereceu a si mesmo, imaculado, a Deus, purificará a vossa consciência das obras mortas, para servirdes ao Deus vivo!

14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15E por isso ele é o Mediador de um Novo Testamento, a fim de que, com a ocorrência de uma morte para redenção das transgressões sob o primeiro Testamento, os que foram chamados recebam a promessa da herança eterna.

15And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

16Pois onde há um testamento, é necessário que ocorra a morte do testador;

16For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17porque um testamento se confirma nos mortos, visto que não é válido enquanto o testador vive.

17For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

18Por isso o primeiro testamento também não foi consagrado sem sangue;

18Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

19Porque, depois de Moisés haver pronunciado a todo o povo todo mandamento segundo a Lei, ele tomou o sangue de bezerros e de bodes, com água, lã purpúrea, e hissopo, e aspergiu, tanto o próprio livro, como todo o povo,

19For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

20dizendo: Este é o sangue do pacto que Deus ordenou para vós.

20Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

21E semelhantemente aspergiu com o sangue o Tabernáculo, e todos os utensílios do serviço de culto.

21Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

22Segundo a Lei, quase todas as coisas são purificadas com sangue, e sem derramamento de sangue não há perdão de pecados.

22And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

23Portanto era necessário que os esboços das coisas que estão nos céus fossem purificados com esses sacrifícios; mas as próprias coisas celestiais, com sacrifícios melhores que esses.

23It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24Pois Cristo não entrou num santuário feito por mãos, mera figura do verdadeiro; mas sim, no próprio Céu, para agora comparecer por nós diante da face de Deus.

24For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

25Também não entrou para oferecer a si mesmo muitas vezes, como o sumo sacerdote entra a cada ano no santuário com sangue alheio;

25Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

26(de outra maneira lhe seria necessário padecer muitas vezes desde a fundação do mundo), mas agora, no fim dos tempos, ele se manifestou de uma vez por todas para aniquilar o pecado pelo sacrifício de si mesmo.

26For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

27E, como está ordenado aos seres humanos morrerem uma vez, e depois disso, o juízo,

27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

28assim também Cristo, que se ofereceu uma vez para tirar os pecados de muitos, aparecerá pela segunda vez, sem pecado, aos que o esperam, para a salvação.

28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
