Inácio aos Efésios 14

1Nenhuma destas coisas vos é oculta, se fordes perfeitos na vossa fé e no amor para com Jesus Cristo, pois estes são o princípio e o fim da vida — a fé é o princípio e o amor é o fim — e ambos unidos são Deus, e todas as demais virtudes os seguem até à verdadeira nobreza.

1None of these things is hidden from you, if ye be perfect in your faith and love toward Jesus Christ, for these are the beginning and end of life -- faith is the beginning and love is the end -- and the two being found in unity are God, while all things else follow in their train unto true nobility.

2Ninguém que professe a fé peca, e ninguém que possua o amor aborrece. Conhece-se a árvore pelo seu fruto; assim, os que professam ser de Cristo manifestar-se-ão pelas suas ações. Pois a Obra não consiste em mera profissão de palavras agora, mas revela-se quando alguém é achado no poder da fé até ao fim.

2No man professing faith sinneth, and no man possessing love hateth. The tree is manifest from its fruit; so they that profess to be Christ's shall be seen through their actions. For the Work is not a thing of profession now, but is seen then when one is found in the power of faith unto the end.
