1Convém, portanto, não apenas sermos chamados cristãos, mas sermos verdadeiramente tais; à semelhança de alguns que têm nos lábios o nome do bispo, contudo em tudo agem sem ele. Homens tais parecem-me não ter boa consciência, porquanto não se congregam legitimamente conforme o mandamento.

1It is therefore meet that we not only be called Christians, but also be such; even as some persons have the bishop's name on their lips, but in everything act apart from him. Such men appear to me not to keep a good conscience, forasmuch as they do not assemble themselves together lawfully according to commandment.
