1Se, portanto, os que andavam nas práticas antigas alcançaram novidade de esperança, não mais guardando os sábados, mas moldando a sua vida segundo o dia do Senhor, no qual a nossa vida também ressuscitou por meio d'Ele e por Sua morte, a qual alguns negam — mistério pelo qual alcançamos a fé, e por cuja causa sofremos com paciência para sermos achados discípulos de Jesus Cristo, nosso único mestre —

1If then those who had walked in ancient practices attained unto newness of hope, no longer observing sabbaths but fashioning their lives after the Lord's day, on which our life also arose through Him and through His death which some men deny -- a mystery whereby we attained unto belief, and for this cause we endure patiently, that we may be found disciples of Jesus Christ our only teacher --

2se assim é, como poderemos viver separados d'Ele? Visto que até os profetas, sendo Seus discípulos, O aguardavam como mestre pelo Espírito. E por isso Aquele a quem com justiça esperavam, quando veio, ressuscitou-os dentre os mortos.

2if this be so, how shall we be able to live apart from Him? seeing that even the prophets, being His disciples, were expecting Him as their teacher through the Spirit. And for this cause He whom they rightly awaited, when He came, raised them from the dead.
