João 10

1Em verdade, em verdade vos digo, que aquele que no curral das ovelhas não entra pela porta, mas sobe por outra parte, é ladrão, e assaltante.

1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2Mas aquele que entra pela porta é o pastor de ovelhas.

2But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3A este o porteiro abre, e as ovelhas ouvem sua voz, e a suas ovelhas chama nome por nome, e as leva fora.

3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4E quando tira fora suas ovelhas, vai adiante delas, e as ovelhas o seguem, porque conhecem sua voz.

4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5Mas ao estranho em maneira nenhuma seguirão, ao invés disso dele fugirão; porque não conhecem a voz dos estranhos.

5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

6Esta parábola Jesus lhes disse; porém eles não entenderam que era o que lhes falava.

6This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

7Voltou pois Jesus a lhes dizer: Em verdade, em verdade vos digo, que sou a porta das ovelhas.

7Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8Todos quantos vieram antes de mim, são ladrões e assaltantes; mas as ovelhas não os ouviram.

8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9Eu sou a porta; se alguém entrar por mim, será salvo; e entrará, e sairá, e achará pasto.

9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10O ladrão não vem, senão para roubar, matar, e destruir; eu vim para que tenham vida, e a tenham em abundância.

10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11Eu sou o bom Pastor; o bom Pastor dá sua vida pelas ovelhas.

11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12Mas o contratado a dinheiro, e que não é o pastor, a quem as ovelhas não pertencem, vê o lobo vir, deixa as ovelhas, e foge; o lobo as captura, e dispersa as ovelhas.

12But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13E o contratado foge, porque é contratado, e não tem cuidado das ovelhas.

13The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14Eu sou o bom Pastor, e conheço as minhas, e pelas minhas sou conhecido.

14I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15Como o Pai me conhece, assim também eu conheço o Pai; e dou a minha vida pelas ovelhas.

15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16Ainda tenho outras ovelhas que não são deste curral; a estas também me convém trazer, e ouvirão minha voz, e haverá um rebanho, e um pastor.

16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

17Por isso o Pai me ama, porque dou a minha vida para tomá-la de volta.

17Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

18Ninguém a tira de mim, mas eu de mim mesmo a dou; tenho poder para a dar, e tenho poder para tomá-la de volta. Este mandamento recebi de meu Pai.

18No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

19Voltou, pois, a haver divisão entre os judeus, por causa dessas palavras.

19There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.

20E muitos deles diziam: Ele tem demônio, e está fora de si; para que o ouvis?

20And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?

21Outros diziam: Estas palavras não são de um endemoninhado; por acaso pode um demônio dar vista aos cegos?

21Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?

22E era a festa da renovação do Templo em Jerusalém, e era inverno.

22And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

23E andava Jesus passeando no Templo, na entrada de Salomão.

23And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.

24Rodearam-no, então, os Judeus, e lhe disseram: Até quando farás nossa alma em dúvida? Se tu és o Cristo, dize-nos abertamente.

24Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

25Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Já vos tenho dito, e não credes. As obras que eu faço em nome de meu Pai, essas testemunham de mim.

25Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

26Mas vós não credes, porque não sois de minhas ovelhas, como já vos tenho dito.

26But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

27Minhas ovelhas ouvem minha voz, e eu as conheço, e elas me seguem.

27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28E eu lhes dou a vida eterna, e para sempre não perecerão, e ninguém as arrancará de minha mão.

28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29Meu Pai, que as deu para mim, é maior que todos; e ninguém pode arrancá-las da mão de meu Pai.

29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

30Eu e o Pai somos um.

30I and my Father are one.

31Voltaram pois os Judeus a tomar pedras para o apedrejarem.

31Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

32Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Muitas boas obras de meu Pai vos tenho mostrado; por qual obra destas me apedrejais?

32Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

33Responderam-lhe os judeus dizendo: Por boa obra não te apedrejamos, mas pela blasfêmia; e porque sendo tu homem, a ti mesmo te fazes Deus.

33The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

34Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Não está escrito em vossa Lei: Eu disse: Sois deuses?

34Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

35Pois se a Lei chamou deuses a aqueles, para quem a palavra de Deus foi feita, (e a Escritura não pode ser quebrada);

35If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

36A mim, a quem o Pai santificou, e ao mundo enviou, dizeis vós: Blasfemas; porque disse: Sou Filho de Deus?

36Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

37Se não faço as obras de meu Pai, não creiais em mim.

37If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

38Porém se eu as faço, e não credes em mim, crede nas obras; para que conheçais e creiais que o Pai está em mim, e eu nele.

38But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

39Então procuravam outra vez prendê-lo; e ele saiu de suas mãos.

39Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,

40E voltou a ir para o outro lado do Jordão, ao lugar onde João primeiro batizava; e ficou ali.

40And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.

41E muitos vinham a ele, e diziam: Em verdade que nenhum sinal fez João; mas tudo quanto João disse deste era verdade.

41And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.

42E muitos ali creram nele.

42And many believed on him there.
